Stayed for 1 night and everything was nice. Expected to arrive late due to flight delay and they still served us dinner. A staff picked us up at the train station though it’s only a few minutes walk. The dinner and breakfast are the best I’ve ever had in Japan. The property is spacious and clean. All staff are nice and friendly. Would love to stay there again in the future.
The greeting was wonderful with tea and dessert upon check in. Completely Japanese style and the staff was amazing. They took the time to explain a little bit what we could do around town and provided advice on going out at night.
The whole thing was beyond our expectations. Totally recommend it if you want to escape from all foreign tourists (including ourselves, lol). We had everything we needed in our room.
This is our honeymoon trip to Kyoto and we would definitely come back again in this onsen hotel.
We arrived around 6pm on our check in day and we got all wet by walking from the train station under the rain. The keeper immediately handed over a warm towel and hot tea to us and another keeper was handling and drying our luggage. It was very good caring impression.
We updated our dinner for grilled crab for only 2000yen extra. It was a delicious. Since we really like the Japanese Menu we requested the keeper to write our name and wedding trip in japanese for our souvenir. On our check out day, the hotel present us with a wedding gift. It was very kind.
This is the best onsen hotel out of three traditional onsen hotels we stayed in of our honeymoon trip.
