The property is very pretty and clean. The bed wasn't as comfortable as we are used to but was ok. We didn't like being between a gas station and a strip mall and having our room door on the outside for anyone to walk up to. They have a lock on the door with a door stop but I didn't feel completely safe. There is an opening from the front part of inn to the back and that seemed unsafe. We used our sound machine to block any noise. We ordered breakfast from their onsite restaurant and it was delicious.

Normally, I would have given Carmel Mission Inn 5 stars. They are currently being sold, so some of the housekeeping has slipped a bit and one sullen guy at the reception desk doesn’t seem to like his job or care about his customers’ satisfaction. That said, I still love this hotel and will try it again when we visit. Hopefully service will have improved after the tranisition period.

We did call the property before booking as we wanted to make sure the room we got was dog friendly (first we were told not but then that it would be solved at check in). The room was great and as described and check in was very friendly. Dogs are allowed to be left in rooms only if crated. The on site restaurant does not allow dogs but there is a great area adjacent to hotel with several amazing restaurants (all with dog friendly patios). We had a great stay and would come back.

It is in a great location and walkable to shopping and resraurants. Suggestion is bring your own pillow if you can unless you like sleeping on overstuffed boulders. The pillows were horrid. The shower was stopped up but worked. Overall the room was big and nice.

Lovely property, but there were a few issues. Firstly, even though I booked a pet friendly room, it was not noted in the reservation for some reason. They allowed us to have the dogs in the room but they weren’t allowed on the patio, which defeated the purpose of paying extra for this. You will likely get very little sleep, you can hear every noise in the hotel, even toilets flushing and people turning on their sink. Then, yesterday my husband and I were chatting in the evening around 10/11 pm in our room with doors and windows closed. Tell me why we got a call from the front desk asking us to quiet down because it was “after hours”. It just rubbed me the wrong way because we had been dealing with nonstop noise all 3 days, doors slamming, people walking, dogs barking, people yelling in the pool area…we didn’t complain a single time. It seems to me like if they KNOW they have a noise issue, maybe they should fix it instead of telling guests to stop having conversations by 10 pm. Anyways, pay a little more and stay elsewhere. Staff and the hotel itself were great but, trust me your sleep will suffer.

Nice enough place. The room was really not thought out. Balcony was worthless, view of a business and parking. There were no drawers for clothes, unneeded bench where they could be a dresser and desk or table, maybe few chairs. Just really odd set up. tv not smart so could not sign j to any streaming. However spa/pool/property nice. Walking to good coffee and food. But not worth the cost.

Nice hotel, good gym equipment (peloton, tread, bikes) but no ventilation. Rooms on bottom floor can get noise from pool until 10 pm. Large rooms. Comfortable beds. Walking to 2 outdoor neighborhood eating areas that are very cute. Only Few miles to Carmel beach. Would stay again.

Overall a nice property. The front desk staff was superb. It’s just 1.5 miles from the town. The property clearly indicated there would be a $30 charge for parking. My experience in the past when charged for parking is that there is limited or difficult parking. Neither is the case here. There is a huge lot with plenty of parking which made the fee feel like a money grab. Unfortunate.
