The hotel is in a nice area. The staff is friendly. Basically the room is clean. Our rooms furniture was chipped up. The heater smelled really bad. With Clorox wipes that we brought. I started cleaning the heater. I don’t think it has ever been cleaned… There is a thick layer of dirt. For the price in Carmel. It’s a good s as it gets. They put money into the front end and the bowels need some investment. The restaurant is pretty good.

Overall, my family enjoyed this property. However, there were a few downsides. The bed and the pillows were not very comfortable BUT they were not the worst ever just expect more comfort at a hotel. The property is very conveniently located near shops which makes it easy to walk to dinner or grab snacks. The pool and hot tub were a highlight of our stay! Very clean and enjoyable heated pool and hot tub! It is a pet friendly hotel but it’s a bummer that our fur baby was not welcomed in the pool area.

Great overall stay.

Nice clean place. Family and dog friendly. Pool and hot tub were a nice amenity. Refillable water stations was nice. The restaurant was really good. Slow flow toilet we had to get them to fix but otherwise our stay was fine. Our window view was of the side of an adjacent building so it wasn’t great but I’m sure not others wouldn’t mind. Lots to walk too for pastries, coffee and restaurants.

We loved the open windows and view. It was convenient for us to walk to find places to eat and there was a grocery store too. We had our dogs so we could also wash them at the pet food express after a weekend at the beach. We would definitely stay again. Staff was exceptionally friendly and it was easy to find our way around.

I had paid for one of the higher end rooms,the room with a patio. And it was right next to the pool and there was so much noise coming from that area. I came here to relax and that did not happen. I arrive a little early at 330pm to hopefully see if my room is ready. Room isn’t ready, that is fine because check in is at 4pm. The front desk associate said they would call me when the room is ready. So my girlfriend and I waited around, and I came back in at 4:02 pm to see if the room was clean yet, since that is check in time. And to no surprise it’s not ready so, it’s about 4:30pm and I’m waiting for a call to get into my room. And no call, so I call myself to find out my room has been ready. So I’m waiting nearby, wasting my day waiting for a phone call that never would’ve happened. And the room was very subpar, poor smell, patio has entrance for people outside to easily come in, I felt as if I had no privacy. And the fridge was leaking water on the floor. The worst part, is that I got bites from the bed. We couldn’t stand to sleep the last night, so at 430am we decided to leave, because it was so uncomfortable. And I tried to talk to an associate that morning, but the associate was sleeping in the back where only employees are allowed, I knew they were sleeping because I called a few times and their response was snoring. I would just like to say I’m heavily disappointed in this place. I wanted to treat my girlfriend to a nice little getaway for her birthday. And we couldn’t

We loved the hotel architectural feel of Palm Springs, cleanliness and service. The happy hour at Shearwater Tavern was great. Every dish was made to perfection and all items were reasonably priced. We also enjoyed the complimentary wine tasting, pool and jacuzzi. The hotel room was spacious, and Clean and the gym had plenty to get a quick workout.

Are charged a parking fee per night, but then are not told of local events being held at the property. Had to drive around the lot for 15 minutes and when we to front desk that’s when we were told about a locals event being held there and being the reason we couldn’t find parking. We were tired from a long day out and wanted to go to bed and we were told we could park off the property at the safeway and try coming back once the event was done. We had alerted the front desk staff that we were parked in a disabled space at the moment to be able to get down to talk, as there was absolutely no other area to stop to get down and ask about parking. As we were talking to front desk EMS and firetrucks had arrived for an inebriated guest from the event being hosted and we were now unable to move from the spot to figure out another parking situation. We went back in and alerted the staff to which we were told that we were ok to leave the car there for the night. We were still extremely hesitant as we understand the legalities of a disabled spot and the possible fines. Still being hesitant, we confirmed with her a couple times and were completely reassured. Morning comes, and as we were heading out a police car is leaving the property after giving us an almost $300 ticket for the parking. When trying to tell the front desk what we had been told the night before, we were completely dismissed and told that it was our problem not theirs. Never coming back. Ruined our trip
