I love the location and the privacy. All rooms have fireplace/ Jet tubs The Only thing TV stand was broken and my husband use his maintenance skills and temp repair so we can watch TV w/o a lean.

Its was okay. A little run down since its very old. But with the prices they charge they should be able to upkeep the rooms a bit more. Broken window screens/drapes. Tears in the couches. Hairs found in the bed.

This place could use some love. Super awesome location, within a quick walk to beach but really run down. It's to bad because it could be nice with a bit of remodel. Wallpaper peeling, weird tub. A lot doesn't work. It's just very outdated. It was quiet though. The check in experience was just a bit weird. They have no one on duty at night.

It was really cute on the outside and in the rooms and seemed like a really good deal. There was a fireplace in the room which was cute but non-functioning. The room also had a fan on the ceiling that also didn’t work. We told the receptionist about it but he said “there should be a switch somewhere in the room.” We showered and the vapor made the smoke alarm go off in the room every 5 minutes. We tried turning it off but it kept happening. We told front desk about it but they just said “oh yeah if u showered it does that.” Eventually we got fed up and put it in the hallway where it finally stopped beeping. We tried using the jetted tub but there was no way of plugging the tub so we gave up trying. Nothing seemed to work in there which was disappointing given how cute it is and a beautiful location. Gave Lake Tahoe vibes but won’t be going back.

I have stayed at Rosedale several times over the years, it was always clean, quiet, inviting, and relaxing. Unfortunately, the facility seems to have been taken over by management that has allowed it to fall into disrepair. Billed as “luxury suites” our room was anything but. Walked in and the smell of mildew, mold was overpowering. The wall paper is literally falling off the walls, exposing areas of mold. The jacuzzi tub was nasty, dirty, and sporting a putty repair job that is probably the source of water damage- it was functionally unusable as anything other than a quick shower with your beach shoes still on. Lights broken, outlets non functional, minimal dishes & cutlery-accompanied by a bottle of Dawn soap so diluted it was practically water. The best part was we had the misfortune of being in a room across from the former breakfast room. As I tried to figure out where all the night noise was coming from, partially hidden by photos adhered to the glass panes of the French doors is a sight to behold- trashed room filled with garbage, and what could only be described as a shrine to glories of marijuana & a banner that says “Welcome to the sh*t show” Apparently this is where the staff parties happen nightly and carry on into the room next door. So yelling, doors, slamming, a child yelling & crying . As we planned on being there only to sleep, we tried to make the best of it- & were not confident another room would have been better. So sad- it used to be lovely.

Never again.
The room was moldy and stunk horribly. The carpet was stained and filthy. The rooms are very dated. The bed was horrible. The fireplace did not operate correctly, just a tiny little flame only. Not worth it at all, the owners should sell this place and let somebody who cares about the property and guest experience take over.

Cute but in serious need of repairs. Not sure where to start. Peeling wall paper, water damage, filthy stained carpet held down with tape, bed skirt had a couple mystery white stains that I didnt want to know about, jacuzzi tub too old and dirty to feel comfortable using, shower had very low water pressure, vinyl held on with blue tape, mini fridge was rusty and dirty, lightbulbs out, faucets handles falling off, etc. We stayed because we didn't want to find another room. But it definitely wasn't what we had in mind for our romantic weekend.

This property was beautiful. It was like cabins in the middle of the town. The only complaints I have are that there was no AC and with the heat these days, they may need to invest in some. Also, the windows opened but there are holes in the screens (that allow you to open it) and those holes allowed bugs to fly in. Otherwise it was great. I wish I would’ve booked multiple nights there.
