Beware of all things promised...cleaniness and ame
Hotel did not have our room ready at check in. We had to wait 90 minutes past check in time before our room was ready. When we got to our 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite, the walls and doors were in rough shape (marks, dirt on entrance door, fingerprints on sliders to balcony). Entering the batrooms the light switches and outlets had layers of "dirty" dust on the top edges. The headboard has layers of dust of the ridges right next to the pillows. The TV remote in the king bedroom was held together by green duct tape. There was a hole in one of the dining room chairs which made sitting in that chair uncomfortable. The pool bar was a dive and the only food at the bar were several variety of chips. The coffee cafe had gas station type sandwiches and overpriced coffee drinks. The view out of our suite was spectacular and the only other good thing was the closeness to the beach.

Property on the outside is nice, the staff is nice. However, we were put in a penthouse 1 bedroom, the room didn’t have a fire alarm, someone had taken it off the wall. The room was not cleaned well, food was still left in the refrigerator and the wall look like it had a bug splatter on it.

Went here for our 1st wedding anniversary and it did the job. Room was nice, although lots of light switches that didn’t work anything, some broken cabinet doors but the room did the job and was spacious. The pool bar was not really too impressive. Husband and I both got drinks that weren’t very good or mixed well. The staff was very friendly while we stayed. Everyone was very helpful and kind. The only major complaint I have is a fire alarm was pulled in the middle of the night, which wasn’t the problem. An alarm went off in our room, which we thought was a great feature to ensure everyone knew and could get out. We all evacuated as instructed. My problem was, the firemen JUST arrived. They weren’t even there 5 minutes and a staff member opened a side door and was telling people they could go back inside. So we walked into the lobby and asked if it was safe to go back to our room since they were letting people inside. Two women at the counter said they didn’t get the okay from the firemen yet, so we couldn’t go up. If they didn’t give you the okay, then why is YOUR staff telling people to go back inside to a potential fire zone?! We walked back outside and around the back while we were waiting to be allowed back inside and people were still swimming in the pool area and walking around inside like they had no idea what was happening. Felt like the staff was more worried about closing the pool area and no one was on the same page about how to handle the situation.

Room was lovely but could use an update on some features such as oven and stove. Loved the ceiling fan above bed. Like in room washer/dryer and appliances. Nice ocean view. Liked thicken walls between rooms.

We used valet service and each one we interacted with provided excellent service!! not enough towels for 4 people, called housekeeping and after 3 hours had to call back and we finally received extra towels about 15 minutes later. Also 2 lights went out in the bathroom and by the time we came back to our room in the afternoon they were replaced and working. Also, we only had 2 coffee mugs and had to request 2 more. The TV was difficult to operate, volume kept going up and down and picture kept glitching when streaming on Samsung plus. no biggie just annoying with no instructions on how to navigate to get cable for us old folks. lastly, the sliding door was difficult to open and close. I think it needs WD-40. Other than the issues mentioned we all enjoyed our stay overall. We really loved all the pools and hot tubs plus playing putt putt across the street. We hope to come again soon. My only suggestion would be to have enough dishes like coffee mugs, utensils, bake ware for pizza and casseroles to assist when cooking since a full-size kitchen is what is advertised and customer pay extra to have it. Thank you!

Not What It Used To Be
While the room finally got rid of that nasty, OLD carpet and vinyl flooring down, I'm not sure why they kept the 17 year old furniture. Furniture needs to be replaced. Looked behind the bed to find my charger and never saw so much dust. They must never pull those beds out and clean back there. Looks like 17 years of dust behind there. Only thing really good about the place is they still have Mariel at the front desk. I think we're finally done staying there after 17 years.
