Lifeguard do better
The entire experience was great! The life guard at the indoor water park needs to do a better job protecting those kids. Their was an adult giving in the 3 ft of water and hit hit his head at the bottom of the people and he stood up and shook it off as of he wasn't hurt. He them encouraged the 8+kids with him and around the pool to start diving between floating devices. Any of them were going to hit the bottom of the pool of the side at anytime and the life guard just stood there. I had to intervene and tell for the lifeguard to look and do his job. The adult admitted he did in fact hurt his neck and back on the dive. Safety in that water should be number 1 with those kids trusting adults with their safety.

Our first room were ok Found one cockroach on the ceiling and one in the bathroom Seems like the property has been battling the fight of an cockroach infestation if you check other reviews of other people stays we Reported it the next day and the manager did try to make it right, they ended up spraying the whole room ect to try to combat the bugs and ended up moving us to a different room that had no problems . Witch did fix everything

The property itself is everything we needed, clean, location, amenities. Unfortunately, I feel the customer service was lacking. We had a very specific need (due to a medical issue) that was not adequately handled. I can understand not always being able to accommodate special circumstances but once they have been pointed out, helping to problem solve would have been appreciated versus just saying no. And once I suggested a solution, it took several hours and 3 calls to guest services for them to follow thru.

I do not recommend Dunes Village Resort
There were no luggage karts available and when they were asked, the response was they are somewhere in the hallways, you will have to just go look. When we asked the concierge where the ice machine was the response was I don't know. The ice machines were outside and didn't work. I attempted to get a drink out of the drink machine and it took my money, nothing was dispensed. There were people in the in-door water park with no wristbands on. All in all the only good thing I can brag about was the sunrise.

The staff was nice and very informative, the only issue we had was that my 4 year old daughter picked up a few toenail clippings from a previous vacationer off the couch.. but like stated earlier, our stay was wonderful.
