$1000 DEPOSIT! 4PM check-in, 10AM Check-Out.

$1000 DEPOST! Or you should pay $40 for some kind of insurance. That's an outright shakedown. They're trying to get $40 extra off people. 4PM check-in I'll pay $10/hour for any earlier than that. 10 a.m. Check out.... The actual apartment was fine, really, besides not having a toilet that has a lid that closes. That's a bit rough if you have a small child that can run around and put their hands in it. But it's close to the beach. Just walk down the road and the pool outside of the door is great. It's just such a shame that they're trying to shake people down and run almost like an Airbnb when we expected it to be an actual hotel. It's just disgusting to rock up to a place and have to upload photo ID to some kind of third party to get the details to get in, and then be told you have to give them a $1000 deposit or you get the privilege of paying $40 for some kind of insurance.

My wife and daughter stayed a couple years ago and kept raving about how clean and cool the place was, so I went and was disappointed, door looks was a hit and miss, manager gave out our room number to another hotel visitor which tried to get in our room at 3am. I could go on and on but I'll just say I wasn't impressed.

Great Location, But a Few Areas for Improvement We had a pleasant stay at this hotel in Myrtle Beach. The location was ideal – just a short walk to the beach, and surrounded by a variety of shops, restaurants, Starbucks, and local stores, making it super convenient for everything we needed. The room itself was comfortable, and we appreciated how close we were to all the attractions. However, there were a couple of things that could have been better. When I went to iron my clothes, the ironing board was a bit dirty, and the iron started smoking, which was concerning. Also, the ice machine wasn’t the most inviting, and I didn’t feel comfortable using it. Another small hiccup was the check-in process. We arrived to find no one at the front desk to check us in, and it took us a little while to figure out where our room was. While this didn’t ruin our stay, it did create some confusion. Overall, this hotel offers great value for the location and proximity to everything Myrtle Beach has to offer. With a few improvements in the areas mentioned, it could easily be a top-notch choice for future visits.

Great stay for a long weekend near the beach. An older property, but it was very clean with comfortable beds, clean linens and plenty of hot water. And important for the wife, it was quiet and peaceful. Easy 1-1/2 to 2 block walk to the beach. Located a bit north of the crowds, but just a short drive into the heart of Myrtle Beach. This was our first experience with the AI registration and check-in. I was a bit hesitant but it turned out to be very easy to use. It was nice not having to keep up with a key or a keycard. We had a very minor issue, I left a message with the manager, and the issue was taken care of within minutes. Super friendly and nice! Holiday Shores checked all the boxes for us, and we will definitely stay again in the future!
