The property is becoming rundown and needs a good clean up. The property is really showing its age. Use caution if booking thru a third party company such as Expedia. The hotel will tell you they need your card for incidentals but will then charge the entire stay twice. The hassle of getting a refund is tiresome. As far as the hotel-the elevator was very dirty inside with broken trim, part of the lights in the room did not work, and the tub was dirty. The hotel had a strong unpleasant smell. Parking was easy and is within walking distance to restaurants and Broadway at the Beach.

Eh… this needs a refresh. Lost there way
This hotel has had its abs and flows. I’ve stayed here where everything was exceptional. Breakfast was great. Rooms were great. Service was great. Everything was clean. I stay here a few times a year. This day service exceptional absolutely exceptional the AGM the GM front desk staff Housekeepers. Friendly, attentive, kind. Let’s start with the room in my room on the second floor room 216. Both beds seem like a queen size had a dip in the middle at least 4 inches deep than what the rest of the bed is to me. It actually made it rather comfortable put two people on that bed. They’re both fallen into the center. The gym, no towels no cleaners no disinfectant wipes one of the two treadmills was broken a trashcan that had two dirty diapers and food disintegrating and has bugs. Far cry from Covid mandates back in the day. Once they fix these little things I think this is a great hotel. I really think this is a great hotel no resort fees out-of-the-way of the Myrtle Beach crowds. I really like it here, but they’ve been slacking a little bit for whatever reason I know they’ll bounce back from it not worried at all. I will stay here again.

The staff at the front desk was excellent. Very kind and helpful. The lobby and dining area were nice and clean. But, then the room. Wow. The corners of the bathroom looked like they haven’t been cleaned in a year. The key to the room worked only when you inserted it up and down rapidly. Out of all of the outlets available, only a couple of them worked. The fitness center was a joke. Everything was “out of order” except for one treadmill. The door to the bathroom was anything but smooth opening/closing. The tub took a good 15-20 mins to drain after one shower. Someone needs to get maintenance out there something fierce!

My room was musty and moldy. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The air quality was the worst I have ever experienced in a hotel or anywhere. Woke up at 3am every night dry heaving from the toxic air. I do not recommend staying here if they don’t care enough to replace their air filters on a regular basis or provide a semi comfortable bed to sleep on. . I have been sick since I got home 5 days ago.

Anniversary plumbing
We have 10 kids and only get away once a year for our anniversary. We arrived and were greeted by staff. They asked the purpose of our stay and we told them our anniversary. The first night we found out the bed squeaked horribly and it woke us during the night. Then ON our anniversary we were asked to vacate our room from 12-4 for them to repair the plumbing, which wasn’t fixed anyway. I won’t say our stay was ruined but I’m not sure we will revisit.

The property is located across from Broadway on the beach, making it so convenient for dining, shopping and lots of entertainment. Staff is great, hotel is quiet and clean. I am coming back soon
