Just back from a 4 day stay-I was a little bit nervous at first as I had seen some bad reviews. Had a beautiful suite on the fifth floor with the corner Oceanview. It was clean , the kitchen had everything needed to make a small meal. There is a very nice breakfast buffet that is replenished often the food was hot and fresh. Just a short walk from the sky wheel with lots of souvenir, shops, and food options. Easy beach access- the pool has a covering so not exactly outside- but the area was clean, and had a great slide for kids. I would defintiely stay again.

Always a great stay at all the homewood suites we go too. The only negative was the AC wasn't cold enough at night for some reason. But we do prefer really cold to sleep.

I wassant crazy about having to pay for valat parking at first ,but it was more convientint than walking across the street to park as in times past. Also on the breakfast bar,couldnt you all have bacon one day. I was there 3 days , no bacon on bar!

It was okay
Front desk was polite, but not friendly. Never saw the same person at the front desk twice and we were there for four days. When we had questions for the front desk, some of the personnel acted like it was inconvenient for us to approach and ask them a question. Let me be clear, it was the majority of the workers, but not all of the workers. Breakfast area food was OK but what was upsetting was to see workers standing around & not cleaning like spilt waffle mix or turning the machine over when it was beeping constantly because someone didn’t flip over when done do I to did it. There were other little things such as that. When we checked into our room, the carpet in front of the bathroom was soaked wet and a baseboard tile was broke off on floor, called to the front desk and they moved us to a different room. It was better. There’s definitely some small things that happen to the room, but it doesn’t seem like maintenance is called when there are problems. The room we were moved to, the sink candle broke off in my hand, and we had to have maintenance come up and fix our sink. When we use the hot tub, it was obvious that one of the hot tubs was very low in water and when we asked if they could add water to it, they stated that it’d been low, but they’re closing it in a half an hour, so we’ll take care of it then. Very sad that they take care of it after the guests are gone instead of in a way where the guest could use it properly.

This is a great hotel. My only complaint is the bed. The mattress is hard as a rock. Neither of us slept well at all. Other than that, it's a great hotel. The restaurant has excellent food and the bartender, Bubba, is a delight!
