We liked the bath. Staff was nice and helpful. Very smooth process to check in and settle into the room. The room was small though. Challenging with two adults and growing luggages. Close to subway, easy access. About 10-15mins walk to the shopping and restaurants area in asakusa. Especially when it was raining, felt a bit of a trek.

The property is so Clean and Safe. Communication barrier with some of the staff. The Housekeepers are Really Very Excellent in maintaining the Cleanliness of the Rooms coz i got 4 rooms for my family. APA Hotel is located in a very good location. 2 min walk to the station, 5 min walk to the shopping district and multiple convenience stores around. The only complaint i would have is that the room smelled a bit odd, like an old man. There was a stray short curly hair on the black mattress cover. The ventilation in the washroom could use some work as it did not air out the steam quick and it did say not to leave the door open or else the fire alarm would go off because of the steam. Overall it was a good stay as the desk staff were very nice and helpful.

The location is superb to enjoy Asakusa. Great food around. There are 24hr DonDondonki. Sensoji is within walking distance and many traditional snacks. Easy to use train even arrival from Narita airport. Use Toei Line to Asakusa station then take the Ginza line metro and exit at Tawara station.

Toilet is amazingly small and is a high step raised platform not suitable for old folks. Bed is soft and sunk in. No heating for aircon as is centrally controlled depends on how cold. Mineral water only provided on 1st day. Change of linen only every 3 days but daily cleaning can be requested. Overall not the best among hotels i stay in tokyo but given the price is just ok. Only plus point is very near a train station.

Stay somewhere else in the neighborhood.
My husband and I stayed here for four nights. The check-in was problematic and the staff uncommunicative. The room was extremely cramped to the point that we both couldn’t get dressed at the same time. The faucet in the bathroom was the strangest, most combersome thing and unlike anything else we saw during our month in Japan. Guests have no ability to adjust the heat so the room is too hot and the corridors are freezing. Finally, there is only one washing machine located in the men’s onsen area so there is always a lineup. I am not sure if there are more the women’s. The neighborhood was convenient and I would suggest one of the other hotels in the area.

Great hotel in the Asakusa district of Tokyo. Close to many restaurants and shops and about a 15-20 minute walk to Sensoji Temple. The room was small but comfortable and the shower and bed were great! The top level public bath was peaceful and clean. Stayed here twice on my recent trip to Tokyo and very much enjoyed the peace of this area compared to other districts. A short walk to different subway lines.
