My daughters and I went down for a wedding and the hotel wasn’t what I thought I had booked. It was nice, but an older place. Clean rooms but beds could use new mattresses. My room said “Resort View” but the view isn't part of the resort. We were able to see the ocean from the window in the room.

It was nice but dated. Spider web in the corner. Cleaning can be better for sure. 1 paper cup, a used stir stick in the coffee basket. No drawers for clothing. No cups in bathroom 1 roll of toilet paper. Maintenance like better painting, loose tile, balcony door hard to open. Had to call maintance for door lock to be fixed. We love this place. This room felt cheap and not up to the standards of the other rooms.

Great stay at this vintage ocean front hotel.
Wonderful stay at this vintage hotel! Brought back memories as a kid in the 1970’s. A step back in time in a very positive way. Hotel has some dated components, but we sure understand being in the ocean for 50 plus years! We will be back! Close to great restaurants and did I say Ocean Front!

Here, each room is privately owned, like a condo. So the rooms may be a little different. The location is fantastic! Only hotel and restaurant that is oceanfront south of Myrtle beach to Charleston. I hope to go back.

When we drove up to the resort/inn we were immediately disappointed. The outside looked dated and the property looked like a Motel 6. if we hadn’t paid up front I would have looked for somewhere else to stay. The staff were friendly that’s the only positive I can give from this experience. We were assigned room 209. Second floor, no elevator. My sister had knee surgery and had difficulty climbing the stairs. We talked about going an asking for a room on first floor but didn’t want to be on 1st floor because all rooms were facing the outside and that didn’t feel safe. When we entered the room there was the same disappointment. The room smelled musty, the furniture was chipped. Looked like there were no updates in years. The ocean view room was directly above us the pool and you could look right across and directly into the restaurant, meaning we had to keep the curtains closed so people could not see in. Also the windows didn’t open anyway to allow fresh air or listen to the ocean waves. We were in town for a three day conference and thank God our stay was only 2 nights. I pulled up the inn on line and relooked at the photos and the description of the inn. Nothing in the description prepared us for what we found. The was a resort fee and a 16.00 daily “house keeping fee” . Housekeeping came in while we were out and emptied a trash bin, did not even go into the bathroom to check and empty the second bin. We were were disappointed and will not be recommending this inn to anyone
