This place is usually ok for an overnight stay in the ‘burg. This time, there was a kids birthday party in the breakfast area, weird but ok. We went to the event we had to with intent of our kids swimming afterwards and came back to a “pool closed for maintenance-sorry” sign on the door and water everywhere in the lobby. Have a feeling it was related to kids bday party. Well, apparently its also the “adult party” hotel for the area as our room was just above the lobby entrance (where everyone hangs out outside to smoke and vape), so we got to hear peoples conversations about every 20-30 minutes as they talked loudly about their child support and other pending legal matters. That stopped about 11pm and started up again about 5am. Its a cannabis legal state, so of course, I got to smell that coming in through the wall ac unit vents. The icing on the cake would be if they try to charge me a smoking cleanup fee because of those guys. Wife tried to call down to front desk to complain/ask them to address but room phone didnt work. Anyway, just an fyi-if youre looking for something a little “quieter” try the other hotel next door thats a little more per night; probably well worth it.

We checked in late in the evening and the guy at the desk was awesome. He helped with extra brankets and pillows, and showed me where the coffee was, which was available 24-7. He was super nice. The room was great, mini fridge and all. Pool was perfect

We didn't have issues with the hotel itself so much, some maintenance improvements could definitely be made and cleanliness in the room wasn't an issue. The issue we had from late check in to breakfast the next morning was there were kids being allowed to just run freely and wild. I am a father of 3 so I get that kids will be kids but they can not be allowed to just run rampant. Upon arrival there were children in the lobby at the coffee bar playing and making a mess drinking the creamer and just being wild. Sure, not my mess to clean but had I wanted a cup of coffee I would've bypassed and gone to the nearby gas station. We finally laid down around 11pm or so we were greeted with stopping from above as I can only assume the same kids were running wild on the second floor. The next morning we went to breakfast and the kids from the lobby the night before were in the breakfast area again running wild and putting their hands in their mouths then strait into everything in their path on the breakfast line. Not sure if these were children of guests or employees. I understand if they were guests children the staff is limited to controlling them but could/should be addressed directly with the parent and if they were employee children I get the potential issues and cost associated with childcare but reign them in when at a place of business
