Some things this inn offers is that its located away from the busy vehicle and pedestrian traffic of the French Quarter. There's a convenient street car stop located right in front of the inn. Rideshare rates from & to the French Quarter are inexpensive. There is a local Walgreens and other great restaurants like Houston's and Joe's Seafood. Entrance to the inn is secured and you can only enter with an electronic moble key. Its a must to read registration instructions texted to you.
The lady that provides office assistance is super pleasant. If she isnt at the desk, texting is a great option with quick response.
Our room was decent and bed extra comfortable. We weren't disturbed by any loud neighbors. The bathroom was a little small and on one super rainy day water leaked from the window. Nothing major and I wasnt shocked as this has been my experience with NOLA historic hotels.
Very much enjoyed our stay! It is a very historical, charming building and if you enjoy an experience like that, you’ll love the place. Diane was extremely accommodating to our needs in arriving pre and post cruise, she made the transitions easy and we didn’t have to worry about having a bunch of luggage to cart around for hours. The Inn is next to a fabulous pizza place, check it out if you stay there. It was great to be able to jump on the street car right in front of the Inn and be able to head to the French Quarter and other parts of the city easily. If history is your thing, I highly recommend! Great staff, historic charm great places to see around the Inn.
This property was exactly what we wanted for our stay in New Orleans. Very true to culture. The room was amazing along with the building. Friendly staff. Pizza place right next door was the best ever!!! Loved it!
It was a very enjoyable stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bathroom looked brand new. The location is great for getting around NOLA. Streetcar stop right in front of hotel. Diane at the front desk was wonderful and very helpful. She deserves 5 stars!
We stayed here while In New Orleans for a weekend trip. It is an absolutely beautiful property. We loved our balcony room. It was huge and very clean and we could walk right out of our room onto the street. We loved that it was literally right in front of one of the Stops for the St Charles Street car. We used that to get around the French quarter area. Communication from the property was great as well. There is street noise but they provided a white noise machine. We will absolutely stay here again when we come to town!!
Highly recommend this property. I traveled with my 15 year old and felt completely safe. The property is gated with access to doors and gate with key that is downloaded to your phone. It has coffee and tea station. The room is super clean, bed was very comfortable, cold a/c with shutter blinds for full privacy. We did have to use the stairs and access from the beautiful private patio from outside. The pizza place next door has great pizza! The green line passes right in front of the property and the red tourist bus has a stop two blocks over. Its close to Magazine street with all the cool coffee shops. Its really close to the French Quarter, not walking close, but close enough. This property does not have dedicated parking. Yet I parked on the side of a street nearby and never had any problems. We preferred to take uber in town and not pay for expensive parking. I would stay again. Nearby restaurants we recommend: Superior Seafood and Oyster Bar, Houston's, Nola Poboys, Oceana.
Beautifully renovated old home - only downside was rooms were on second floor and no elevator for luggage but Diane agreed to hold the luggage and I only took what I needed for my brief overnight stay up the stairs. She was very helpful! However listing said breakfast was provided but only coffee/tea were available.
