NOLA house on Carondolet

Overall 5 star review, and I'd stay there again. Lovely Victorian, nice neighborhood. The St Charles streetcar is just a block away, so you can park your rental car and ride to the French Quarter and elsewhere. The house needs a number, I looked numerous times in daylight, never did see one - it's on a one way street, dodging potholes in the dark, tough to locate the right house the first time by. Unit is very pretty, nice AC, big windows. There's a "boutique" grocery a block away, that was very nice to find my first night in town. I misunderstood that there was a washer dryer in the unit, it's not, and due to lag time in emails I had to haul dirty laundry home. Pretty much my biggest complaint. I left early (the chirping smoke detector is just bad luck at 3:30 a.m., the batteries never run low in the middle of the day) but Helene refunded my unused time, which I was not expecting. Check-in and access was easy, and as described. If you pack heavy, be aware you're carrying a suitcase up & down a flight of stairs. Overall I enjoyed my stay

One block off St. Charles, so convenient to take the street car into the Quarter. Walking distance to so many great little restaurants and bars on Magazine St. Quiet neighborhood! Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Location!

What a great little apartment, perfect for the two of us and our week-long stay. My only complaint was that the walls are paper thin; every little noise was heard, no matter how loud. That said, when we had one issue with repairs being done the host was remarkably responsive, kind and accommodating. We will happily come back to this property in the future.

Great stay in NoLa

Extremely well kept and thoughtfully appointed apartment in a wonderful old Victorian. Beautiful property, close to St Charles, short walk to Magazine. Very quiet neighborhood, great restaurants nearby: Yinzer's, DeLaChaise, Fresh Market, Gracious Bakery. All the best of New Orleans. Property owner is gracious, attentive and responsive to any issues. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and would definitely stay again.

Coffee and Jazz in the Big Easy

This was my first trip to NOLA and let me tell you, this house really helped shape my experience. The suite itself is gorgeous and squeaky clean. Listening to jazz in the morning with my coffee in a beautiful suite was a calming way to start my day. Del and Trena were a big help during hurricane Zeta that rolled through during our stay! Del responded right away when a window was knocked out of the house and he and my husband patched it up. Del and Trena left us a care package to help get us through the storm. As for the location of the house, it's a short walk to the St. Charles streetcar line as well as Fresh Market. If we ever get to come back, we would want to stay here again. Thanks for the memories!

5 Stars! 5 Stars! 5 Stars!

This quaint Louisiana apartment was perfection for our week long stay. Located a couple blocks from great food, tours and the Superdome. It's just minutes to the French Quarter by Uber/Lyft. The place it's self was clean, the bed was comfortable. It is a block away from the market so, we were able to pick-up some things for breakfasts during our stay and then we would head out for lots of fun in New Orleans. Del was a gracious host and allowed us a late check-out on our last day there. I highly recommend staying here.

Perfect getaway

Place was very clean and nice to stay in just like the pictures. Perfect location as to 1 block off of Saint Charles. We were able to ride the trolley and bus to wherever we needed to go. The only issue we had was when we got there and went to turn on tv it didn’t work (my husband was determined to have tv. Lol) so he finally figured it out the remote batteries were corroded. So he walked to store down the corner and bought some more. Should be good for awhile!

Anniversary weekend

When we arrived we dropped off our stuff and headed out to eat dinner. We were tired from the drive and didn’t stay long, thankfully. Got back and there was ZERO hot water. We message our super host and they were on top of it. Got a plumber out at 730 the next day. Hot water by 8. Did not impact our stay at all. Enjoyed the house...except the little running around upstairs. But since we were out that didn’t bother us except the first day. Second day the folks outside were loud and bothered my husband...me, was out like a light and didn’t hear a thing. Overall this place is near most everything we wanted to do. Clean, great host who was very responsive and we had a great time.

Loved our stay!

The suite was remodeled beautifully and was the perfect amount of space for my daughter and I. It is easily accessible to the trolley and about a block away from city bike rentals which made for a nice morning ride through the garden district and an easy ride the few blocks up to Magazine Street. The homeowners were very responsive and accommodating letting us check in a little early. The room had everything we needed and although you could periodically hear other tenants moving around the house, it wasn’t overly loud or awkward running into people. The only thing I wish I would have had were recommendations for restaurants/bars/activities within the area. Also, be advised that the neighborhood is pretty split. Walking up one block to St. Charles there were other beautifully remodeled homes and gorgeous trees, but a block the other way and you were in a run down area that was very uncomfortable to walk around in at night.
