This was a “VIP Property” but I didn’t received any VIP amenities as the “free breakfast” and $25 chip are offered to everyone on their website as the “resort fee is high”. VIP perks offered upgrade upon availability but it wasn’t available, so not a real perk. Location is prime and a lot to do around the hotel. Service from the guys at breakfast and at the bar was top.

We selected this hotel due to its location, being close to the Madison Square Garden and Times Square. The rooms were small, which was known to us, but the layout and facilities in the room were excellent. We never felt cramped. The bathroom was awesome and clean. The staff were very friendly. We really appreciated the free drinks and $25 concession token. We would choose this hotel again if we need to stay in that location.

Arrived early. Room wasn’t ready by check in time. We were offered free drinks at the bar due to inconvenience. Front desk clerk, Brandon took very good care of us from check in to a complimentary extended check out. Brandon customer service skills are amazing. Will return soon.

We were impressed with Aliz hotel. There was a great view of the city lights from our room. The room was serviced every day. Pillows could have been better. Never a problem with the lifts - we didn’t have to wait long and they were super fast. We enjoyed complimentary cocktails in the lobby on the first evening. Breakfast buffet was good with plenty on offer. The rooftop bar has a stunning view. The staff were all very helpful and friendly especially Gorge in the lobby bar. Checking in/out was efficient and there was no issue storing our luggage on the last day. The hotel runs like clockwork.

Worlds worse lifts tiny bedrooms
Hotel is in a great location. Rooms are incredibly small as are the beds.We are a family of 4 and wouldnt of coped in the rooms with the two tiny double beds. The hotel sorted us another room so we had the additional expense of another room but was worth it to be comfortable (we were there for 6 nights). Hotel lifts really let this hotel down terrible doesnt describe!. The lift situation is made worse by the fact 1 of the 3 lifts is roped off on an evening for the roof top bar. I find this poor beyond belief that they prioritise non guests that are spending a few dollars on cocktails rather than having all the lifts for all guests especially the ones that have paid thousands to stay. Lastly we have been home over a week and we are still waiting the deposit back for our rooms. I have emailed the hotel manager about this 4 days ago and have had no response. If you want a budget hotel in a good location and dont mind waiting 10 mins for a lift to arrive then id highly recommend, if not there are loads of other hotels in the same area

Perfect place for an overnight! Clean room, clean restaurant, friendly & helpful staff, and right in the heart of Manhattan. Be sure to leave a little extra time to get your car in case there is a parade or protest that hinders the valet from getting it.

This property is at an amazing location. The rooms are small but that's expected in New York. The bar tends are amazing people, if you speak to them and they help with the whole vide of the building. The social area in the back is really nice to hang out in, watch games, or talk with friends. I did not like the way they handled check-in, not even working on our reservations till 3 pm on the dot and we arrived via plane at 10 am. But their bartenders made up for it.

This is a clean hotel in a good location. Be aware that the elevators take a LONG time to arrive. It can take up to 15 minutes for an elevator to show up. They prioritize rides to the rooftop restaurant and the staff are running bags from the lobby to a remote storage area. That means that the elevators are always in use for other things besides getting guests to and from their floors. The front desk staff are very friendly, while the breakfast room staff are rude and unhelpful. We prepaid for breakfast, yet did not appear on the prepaid list. This took 3 days for the breakfast room team to resolve with the front desk team.

Full of large tour groups
Aliz Times Square primarily caters to large tour groups, but the staff seems unprepared to handle them. The small lobby becomes so crowded that getting in or out of the building is difficult. This is further complicated by non-guests who line up to take the elevator to the 40th-floor lounge in the evening. Only two of the three elevators were working during part of my stay, and the whole situation felt very unsafe to me.
