This is a simple, very nice hotel! I stayed here during a convention and it was a great space for my friends and I. Staff was extremely nice and super accommodating. There is no fancy bells and whistles in the room (i.e. no hand soap) but it is perfect for a small stay at a great rate. Be aware that is it $2 a bag to leave at the front desk. This is made clear, but is a little disappointing compared to other hotels. My recommendation would be to just arrive and leave on time. Other than this, I had a wonderful stay and would stay again!

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was shining brightly! Even after staffing the hotel for an overnight shift, the staff greeted us with smiling faces.

We have visited New York 6 times and this hotel has been our favourite so far. Great location inbetween Times Square and Hudson Yards. Convenient having a microwave and fridge for our child in the room. And, most of all, Jessy on reception was a delight! She was so helpful and accommodating.

This room stands out in two significant ways: it was the largest room with the most space I've had in New York with the largest king mattress, and it has the hardest mattress I have ever laid on. Like box spring hard. The chipped foam pillows weren't my jam either but that can be subjective. It's well placed for conventions and city exploration.

Avoid at all cost!! One of the staff was extremely rude and unbelievably unprofessional and the elevator wasn’t working the night that I checked-in. I asked for help with my luggage but they said they couldn’t help me and I ended up carrying it up to the fourth floor via stairs. Location sucks and didn’t feel safe staying there.

Super great hotel and central for the areas we visit the most in Hills kitchen and Chelsea. Definitely enjoyed the rooftop access took lots of pictures and they’re pet friendly too. It was a great area to go up and relax and have that New York feeling living lifestyle vibe. The staff is super friendly, especially the two that greeted us when we first arrived. The Truss is a hotel that will be keeping or eye on when we visit New York City.

We did state that we didn't want anyone to come into the room while we were out due to the amount of luggage we had with four of us but they still came in anyways...we were not happy about that. We only stayed two nights and did not need the cleaning.

I can't say enough about how friendly and warm the staff is at the The Truss!! They answered any questions we had, gave advise and in general were just very warm. Unfortunately, there were some issues. The only USB plug in the room did not work and the floors needed a good sweep. Niether were trip ruining but it was inconvenient to have to go spend almost $30 for a cellphone charger. Area was ok, some very good resturants and the subway stations were plenty. Parking was literally right around the corner which was awesome!! Area felt safe, we walked to Hudson Yards to do the Edge at night and didn't feel unsafe at all. Overall, we won't be staying at the Truss again but not because of the hotel. We just prefer over by Grand Central/UN area more. Another giant thanks to the staff!! You ladies and gents were great :)
