24hrs before our check in we received a note through Expedia from this property stating the rooftop bar was open for select hours. When we arrived we learned the rooftop bar was not open at all. The rooms were pretty beat up and the staff didn’t really seem to care. We also had to ask for a new iron two separate times because the ones they gave us were broken.

This Doubletree location was the perfect location for food, activities, Bryant Park & Herald Park, both of which have nearby shopping and coffee shops. The hotel itself has a spacious lobby and rooms for New York, and also has a dine in restaurant accessible with the lobby. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to visit New York!

The elevators are quite small, so if the hotel is busy, you might find yourself waiting a while to get to the lobby. At one point, we had to let five elevators pass before we could go down. While stairs are an option from the top floor to the first floor, they don't actually lead to the lobby—something we learned the hard way. The bathroom sink in our room was problematic, with water constantly accumulating and taking a long time to drain. The room layout was also a bit strange, with the king room feeling much smaller than expected. We had a none smoking room but our floor smelled like cigarettes specially near our room and it was unpleasant. Additionally, valet service is $90 USD for 24 hours, which wasn’t mentioned anywhere beforehand. On a positive note, the staff was kind and helpful, which was the best part of our stay. I’m giving this hotel three stars mainly because of them and the convenient location; otherwise, it would have been a two-star rating based on the overall experience. Hope this review is helpful!

Had to wait for hours in the check- in line. Room was booked a month in advance, but still took forever to get the keys. Waiting for the elevator was like waiting for a ride in disney world. A few staff members at the front seem sick and tired of their jobs.

The staff was great except for this one lady at the front desk with glasses. She had an attitude with me over a simple couple questions. Other than that the cleaning staff did a great job every time I came back to my room I had clean towels and a freshly made bed. I will definitely come back. Thank you for another amazing stay Hilton double tree staff. Except the tude lady at the desk.
