Our room was good when we checked in went out for supper and see some sights came back to smell of sewage in bathroom and air conditioning did not work this was at10 pm Gave us another room for. Ifgt that was ver dusty and noisy behind elevator got a new much better room in the morning very happy !!

We really enjoyed the Hotel Edison, they were very friendly, we loved the wine hour, easy and convenient togo breakfast, extra special touch when they offered pizza for my kids. Great location, steps from time square. We woulc come back again!

Unfortunately, my first impression was not good. Arrived maybe 90min before check-in. I had requested an early check-in. The front desk asked me to pay $50 to check-in. How appalling! Of course, I declined. It did not sit well. Clearly, a room was available, but Hotel Edison apparently thought charging a customer for this short time is justifiable or necessary. It costs the hotel nothing to allow me to check-in early. However, it did cost them a poor review and a customer who will never return..and neither will friends or family. I have never been asked to pay for an early check-in at any NYC hotel or anywhere for that matter.

The room was fine. The check in process was not set up efficiently. I was there early, ready to give all my info and then pick up the keys. That was not how it was handled. I had to wait online to get my keys.

Our family from Canada has stayed at the Edison 6 times now, and have referred many people to it. Our friends have stayed here twice, and my dental hygenist once! I was wondering if you offer any upgrades or perks to your loyal customers? We do like the breakfast specials with the vouchers. That's a great deal, and one of the reasons we keep coming back!

Found some staff but not all to be rude and curt. Also killed a cockroach in or room. Showed picture to the staff and they said it was a water bug! LOL! I wasn't born yesterday. Another issue is that you are not permitted to use luggage trolley without using bellman service. Almost forgot to mention that United cancelled our flight so I phone and advised that I would be checking in a few days late. Upon arrival we were told there were no rooms. The receptionist was rude and wanted me to prove that I called. I showed them the call log. They ended up giving us a room with construction men working right outside the window. They couldn't even upgrade our room for the remainder of our stay.
