This was a really nice hotel. Almost all staff were extremely helpful and kind. Unfortunately, one of the main reasons we chose the property was because of the advertised rooftop patio and the photos of the lobby that looked so relaxing. Two issues: later afternoon/early evening the volume of the music was turned WAY up so it was more of a club atmosphere—even though looking around it seemed most people were just looking to relax or visit, etc. Also, we were treated rudely twice by the same restaurant manager for sitting on the patio with some food not purchased at the restaurant (even at 3 pm when no one else was out there and we had purchased drinks from the hotel.) The second time, we even sat purposefully beyond the marked area where it said there was no restaurant service and the guy still complained. It was frustrating as the patio is not listed as a restaurant-only patio—but a hotel patio. Otherwise, front desk staff, restaurant and bar staff, housekeeping staff were all very helpful and kind. I think the rooftop patio rules should be more clearly communicated in the listing, and when you check in.
