This property is conveniently located right near the subway with express trains to the bottom of the island and a simple bus line across the part to the east side. It’s a very old property. Things are shoddy. The plugs are not sturdy and some things fall out of them, there are no dressers for clothes. The drains back up, the heating and AC are very loud, and the carpet is like indoor outdoor with a very dark cover. I wore “room socks” and they were filthy at the end. Worst was one night, some random guy came knocking at the doors at 9:30pm to make sure we had heat as he was going off shift. As if, something had gone wrong they wouldn’t do anything?? But to knock on peoples doors was unsettling.

Comfortable and Affordable
The Night Hotel on Broadway is a great place to stay in NYC. Clean, affordable and a cozy place to rest your head each night. The bed was super comfortable. Location was great as the subway was a block away and you're sandwiched between Central Park and the lovely walking paths along the Hudson. We were there for 4 nights and on the last night the a/c unit would make some loud noises every once in a while but I don't believe it was on and there were some quirky placements of things like the hand soap dispenser in the shower and lotion dispenser where the handsoap should be next to the sink, but that wasn't a problem, just a funny thing. Other than that I would totally stay here again!

Decent, except for surcharge and poor Wifi
Note that there is a $14.99/night surcharge for internet, water and snacks that is paid on check-in. There were no snacks in my room, and the Wifi was spotty and frequently dropped. On the bright side, they were good about storing my luggage for a few extra hours after I checked out. The room was decent - as would be expected for a lower end hotel.

Hotel added a mandatory separate fee for "drinks and snacks", that was not part of the agreement, additionally, we never received the drinks and snacks. The good things are; You are in Manhattan, few steps from subway and multiple dining options. Bad things, it is old, dirty, it feels unsafe, the room was ugly, no decoration, parts without painting, it was the typical hotel from horror movies where a maniac will rob you and take your parts away, luckily that didn't happened.

The carpet is probably as old as the building…bring flips flops. I also found a condom wrapper under the one side of the bed so you can tell it wasn’t cleaned thoroughly. (At least it wasn’t the used condom!) The front staff and security are friendly and it feels safe.

My room was clean, but the elevator carpet needs cleaning and it's difficult to read the numbers on the buttons on the elevator. Bed and pillows were comfortable enough, but it seemed like there was no heat in the room, so it was very chilly. I see a furnace and a window unit, but no heat function there. The rooms are very difficult to find- the hallways branch off and there are no signs with Room numbers pointing you in the right direction. Some of the room numbers don't even move in order. Service was friendly and someone was always present at the desk. No concerns there. I would stay at Night again, but there are things to improve.

This is my usual hotel that I stay at when I come and visit my daughter. It's a super easy location with the Charlotte Cafe around the corner and a main train hub. It's an old building and it isn't really fancy, but it's clean and the staff is really nice

Ppty needs a major update to entire place. -Old worned carpets in hallway and bedrooms -Paint needed badly in entire place. 'Decorative wood molding is badly worned -Outdated bathroom hardware, faucets. -found huge dead cockroach in lobby's bathroom. -heavy smoking outside of hotel's entrance. -homeless aggressive man around corner. (Walgreens pharmacy) not a real threat since wasn’t able to walk/stand, but rude nevertheless. -POSITIVE- -Super close & convenient access to subway/metro 1/2 to 1 1/2 blocks -morning staff was helpful and was able to get taxi quickly to airport. -Evening Staff was quick to respond for extra towels. Walking distance to Zebars. Awesome deli and grocery store. Terrific Lox & bagels. -Lots of shops nearby. Food, pharmacy, etc.
