Great stay for an affordable price!
We stayed for a long weekend at OYO Times Square and it was good for the price we paid. We had a full size bed, but the bed was a little squeaky. Other than that, it was clean and we got great service there. Definitely would stay again, but maybe just a bigger bed.

My stay at OYO Times Square was an absolute nightmare, and I have the entire experience documented on video as I was filming a hotel review. From the start, I was placed in a wheelchair-accessible room with a window that wouldn’t shut properly, leaving the room freezing cold throughout my stay. This led to me catching a cold. The towels were in such poor condition that they disintegrated upon use. The room’s blackout buttons didn’t work, so I had no access to sunlight. The room itself was dusty and unkempt, with trash left behind by previous guests—a clear indication of inadequate cleaning. To add to the inconvenience, the room phone didn’t work, and the shower water alternated between scalding hot and freezing cold, with no comfortable middle temperature. Throughout my stay, the hotel staff was completely absent. At the end of my trip, the manager finally toured the room with me, apologized for the poor conditions, and took note of all the issues I had experienced. Despite this, things worsened after I returned home. Not only did I not receive my incidental deposit back, but I was also falsely accused of smoking in the room and charged an additional $400. This is an outrageous and dishonest practice. Thankfully, I documented the entire stay on video, which proves the poor condition of the room and the lack of service. This hotel is nothing short of a scam and isn’t worth even $20 a night. The only positive aspect was the location near Times Square. but not worth it.

OYO is as basic as it gets. The rooms are very tiny with a small bathroom. However, you are in the heart of Times Square so if you want a simple place to stay, this gets the job done. Unfortunately, you are still paying decent prices for the location, but it's cheaper than other hotels in the area.

Great place to stay for a couple of nights while in the city. Friendly staff, older hotel but clean, restaurant downstairs is fun for kids, and overall nice place. Some rooms are smaller than others so just make sure you ask for a larger room if you are traveling with others. Smaller rooms are ok for a couple. We would stay again.

It took 5 different rooms on check in and my daughter is on medical equipment and I was charged for smoking 3 times when my daughter used a nebulizer 3 times a day ! I did let the hotel know by email before check in and reminded at the front desk but I was told by mgr. ,to report fraud to credit card company!!

We had a great stay overnight in the city. We really appreciated the hotel stowing our luggage during the day so that we could shop around and see the sites. The staff was very friendly, very helpful and we felt very safe at the hotel was very clean considering the age of the hotel. The bedding was very comfortable & appreciated that the mattresses had zippered covers on them as I have a severe dust mite allergy- my one concern was that it was very cold outside and our window had duct tape around it to try to keep the cold out and it was falling off which made sleeping on that side of the bed very drafty- They really need a new window and I did let the front office staff know that it needed to be attended to. - over all great stay & we will plan to be back next year

Noisy, small and dirty rooms. The thermostat did not work so had to sleep in the cold forst night before pleading to change rooms. They offered to refund 80 dollars rather than change rooms. Rooms are so small that you cant walk between bed and wall without bumping into one. No shower curtains. They told me parking ticket is validated but was not so had to walk back 2 blocks to get that validated again. I have stayed in seventy dollar roadside motels better than this. Would not recommend staying here. Many establishments around are better options.

Good location, but there are issues,
The room was extremely cold when we entered. The hotel staff gave us an electric room heater and offered to try to change rooms the next day. But after getting the heater and unpacking it wasn't worth the trouble for a 2 night stay. The tv remote was not in the room. There is no furniture in the room except a bed, a small, flimsy nightstand and some kind of storage basket-stand. The bed had a metal stand with corners that were painful and resulted in a small cut on my shin. The bed was noisey. The window blinds were really shabby and didn't work. The room faced W 47th and the noise from the street was pretty loud. On the positive side, the location was great for accessing theaters and the Times Square area.

GOOD HOTEL
It was a quick stay, but the hotel is very close to Tines Square, a few minutes from Rockfeller and there are subway stations nearby. I have to point out that the shower was not very clean. The hotel was not spacious, similar to New York standard but it’s ok. I liked Frozen Hot Chocolat of Serendipity
