We stayed here for 8 nights in August 2024, had a double, double room on the 29th Floor, with a view over the city for my son an I. Trip had been booked around a 'Future' gig at the Barclay Centre in Brooklyn.
The hotel can be accessed from both 56th & 57th streets as was worried when taxi (Flat rate with tip $100) from JFK went down 57th street.
Our check-in was straight forward, no wait arriving at hotel at about 8pm from Manchester. (Taxi took about 1 hr).
The first thing we encountered are the 3no.lifts, which require you first to tap the the floor you want on the screen and then it tells you which lift to take. All lifts were quick & we didn't have to wait long.
Our room had a walk-in shower, as we didn't want a shower over the bath type. Incl. a Dyson hair dryer. Rooms cleaned daily.
Its location is great & all was walkable, 10mins to Central Park, 15mins to Times Square (This was through the covered public passages in the buildings opposite). Metro lines 5mins.
Another reason for choosing was the incl. breakfast, which ran until 11am, good for lie-ins. This was served on the 3rd floor for guests only with incl. breakfast. It was buffet style and never seemed that busy.
Another feature was something they call 'Lights Bites', served again on the 3rd flr between 5.30pm and 7pm which was great for pasta, soup etc. Drinks in the adjacent fridges were free.
Only complaint was that I assumed you would get 2 bottles of water in your room, but I had to ask each day.
