As we arrived and checked in our room we were greeted by a roach, the staff didn’t even care..after that we were moved to a different room only to experience more problems the sink was clogged and the a/c unit was incredibly loud was called and reported the problem but was never fixed…to top everything off when we checked out valet couldn’t find our car it took them almost 3 hours to find our car which made us late to our next destination. It was a horrible experience. One wished us upon anyone.

The property is conveniently located and is well maintained. The staff is friendly and accommodating, particularly the concierge and the valet staff. The room itself was fine, but the bathroom situation is not good. This hotel has the bathroom separated from the bedroom by only frosted glass, a fabric shade, and a barn door. Sounds and light from the bathroom are heard/seen throughout the bedroom. Although we have now stayed here twice, my companions and I have already decided that we will not stay here again due to bathroom situation.

The shower was cold/ colder/coldest. awful Let run for 15 to just get cold water. Tried for 2 days to get the "free" breakfast. Was told it was on the 5th floor then was referred to the 6th floor, then back to the 5th floor. Then was told they really had no idea unless i wanted to pay for breakfast. Not cool. Customer service was absolutely horrible. suich a shame for a nice hotel in an absolutely great location.

A memorable and comfortable stay
We had the pleasure to stay the Renaissance in Midtown on our 10th anniversary. We were only in the city for 3 days and this was the highlight of our trip. The staff is so kind and courteous here. The way they speak to customers is clearly distinguished from the other hotels we stayed at. They’re warm, welcoming and helpful. I want to send a special shoutout to Julie and Vina to going above and beyond and upgrading our room to elevate our anniversary experience at the Renaissance. When we walked into our wonderful room, there was not only a gift but a handwritten note, which is such a sweet touch. Ladies, if you’re reading this- thank you so much. We had a great time! The room was super clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and we truly felt luxurious staying there. Will definitely return to the Renaissance.

Our second time staying in NYC and we loved the Renaissance Hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They kept our luggage while we walked around the city before check in. This hotel is in a great location and is steps away from Penn station to catch the subway. As a bonus, there is a Chick fil A right outside the hotel.

The room was a bit worn: shades did not work well, small crack in sink, windows steamed up each night. NYC is always dirty. Seams you are always avoiding trash on the sidewalk. Big bags of trash and overflowing trash bins.
