The Frederick hotel
Long week-end visit to New York city, hotel is great location at Tribeca, rooms yes are small but this is New York city. Excellent breakfast included, free water, also rare thing in New York, clean, quiet, comfortable beds,and bear the train station right outside the hotel. Friendly staff with a smile.

Beautiful property in a wonderful location. Great neighborhood for walking and biking, easy access to the bike lane or subway to get uptown. Explored the area and learned new things by staying somewhere different. Loved it.

The room I was in was very noisy and this wasn't the hotel or staffs fault but they could invest in some soundproofing. Despite being on the 6th floor I could hear conversations people were having in the street. I also stayed 4 nights under a separate reservation and when I had to check out and check back to the new 1 night reservation, I was told I would receive another bottle of wine. When I mentioned that I don't like red wines, and didnt open the forst bottle, the woman at the desk said she would drop a bottle of Chardonnay in my room. I understand that I probably had a DND sign but they could have left a note under my door or a voice message / call or emailed me to pick it up at my convenience.

Perfect location great transport links. Good clean rooms with good amenities if on the small side. Plentiful and tasty breakfast included but service in restaurant at breakfast not great. Overall great stay would stay again.

Plus points: The hotel is very convenient to get to the World Trade Centre, Battery Park and ferries to Liberty and Ellis Islands. The subway is yards from the door. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is provided in the restaurant which is literally next door and was a reasonable standard with a selection of items (although I hope you like cornflakes as that was the only choice of cereal available). Minus points : we had a room on the second floor. Firstly the room itself was very small, with only a small double bed. The bathroom was tiny. The “view” from the window was a brick wall and a grubby collection of air conditioning units in the well behind buildings. Access to the room was down a very long corridor with steps halfway along, which made it difficult to get our cases to our room. There didn’t seem to be any porter service for getting luggage to the room. I realise New York hotels are never going to be cheap but we paid nearly £400 for a night’s stay with breakfast and I really expected a bigger room for the money. In comparison we paid £225 a night for a much bigger room, in a nice hotel (The Lombardy) in central Manhattan.

THIS IS A GREAT PLACE
I have stayed here a few time son business trips nd i is always great. The staff is nice and the place is very well taken care of...and a fun bar scene to at night. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Good location in Tribeca and right next to a subway stop to go uptown or over to Brooklyn. Room was on the small side and smelled musty. View out the window was a brick wall so not much natural light. Overall decent for the price (compared to other places in NYC)
