Lobby was nice, smooth check in process. Elevators are super slow. The staff uses them to move linens and towels too, so that's inconvenient. My room was super old and worn down. Carpet was frayed, curtains were old, the bed was sunken in and uncomfortable, the toilet never stopped running, and the bathroom door was super inconveniently placed. Also, i had to request a do not disturb sign. While ive stayed in worse places, they didnt cost $500/night.

How old are these other reviews?!
I booked 7 rooms. 5 of which were for an account. Due to short notice, our options in NY were limited. Reviews looked good. One room a/c was broken and the person at the front desk wouldn’t find a new room so that person slept in one of the other guests room. There was hair all over the bathroom in another room. One of the tubs were clogged. It was dirty and old and service was rude. Do not believe positive reviews. Photos are deceiving.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. It has a great location and the staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. The furnishings were a bit dated but still nice. The reason I can't rate this higher had to do with a vomit stain we had on our bed in the room we booked. The staff was able to rebook us, albeit in a smaller room, which was nice but laying in that bed to smell the bile was a very unpleasant experience.

They were extremely helpful and very nice. The lobby was small but it was right downtown so the building went up 14 floors. We were on the 11th, unfortunately facing a brick wall but since we were not spending much time there, it was ok. The room was clean and that is what mattered the most.

Hotel was fine. Basic. Nothing special. But an $89 "Destination" fee? I asked what it was, and they said "just the fees." Uh huh. This kind of junk fee crap is dishonest. I realize a lot of hotels do it now, but quoting a price, then larding up fees after the fact is nothing but an attempt to be deceptive. Makes me feel animosity towards the place.

This hotel was filthy; entrance, elevator (terrifyingly dirty), hallway, room carpet, personal hair from previous occupant an all bathroom fixtures. Desk draws kept sliding open in pathway from bed to bathroom. The only thing I will commend were the clean sheets. Carpet was so repulsive I used the bath towel at the bedside.
