I regret to share that my experience at this hotel did not meet my expectations. The rooms we were given looked significantly different from what was presented on the website. Both the bedrooms and bathrooms appeared quite dated, and unfortunately, there was an unpleasant musty odor in the room. The walls were surprisingly thin, allowing us to hear the neighboring guest snoring quite clearly. Additionally, this hotel is pet-friendly, which is not my preference. Overall, I felt a sense of misrepresentation regarding our accommodations.
On a positive note, we thoroughly enjoyed dining at the nearby Griffin restaurant, which offered delicious food and drinks—certainly a highlight of our stay. The location was also convenient for our needs.
The hotel’s service could use some improvement. When we requested housekeeping to clean our rooms, we were informed that we needed to go through the front desk, as the staff had not been assigned to clean our rooms. It seems they may still be following pandemic-related protocols. Furthermore, when we inquired about a late checkout, we were surprised to learn that there would be a $50 fee for each half-hour extension. Thankfully, the staff graciously allowed us an extra half-hour without charge.
In summary, my rating reflects the convenience of the location and the kindness of the staff. Otherwise, I would be inclined to rate it lower.
