We had an amazing time and enjoyed our stay a great deal. The view from our room was amazing!!! The ocean sound was very soothing and we couldn't wait to get up to hike around. Such an amazing experience. Fogcatcher inn is the place to stay in Cambria!!!

We stayed in this place several times throughout the years and just loved it, but this time we’re so disappointed! The room has no charm like before, the bathroom and shower is just ok. The only worse thing about the room is there’s no heater! To heat the room is fire place and you can’t use the fireplace in the evening while you sleep because the light comes from the fireplace is So Bright, so very cold while you sleep. But the best place about the hotel is The location! Wow, right at the beach, beautiful!

This is our second time staying at The FogCatcher. Although it is a little dated, it is a nice place to stay. Comfortable bed and linens.

We were told to keep it a secret...
Room had a beautiful backlit vanity mirror but unfortunately lights flickered so much it made the lights useless. I would have loved the light up huge mirror to work making it easier for makeup application instead of overhead lights. A Woman checking in before us stated she loves the place I can see why, it has a great location to boardwalk along the coastline best enjoyed during a morning or sunset walk. The boardwalk also had a few benches along the trail to sit and watch the sunset, I would recommend staying there when you visit Cambria for this reason alone. Rooms include the fake fireplace for heat, small closet/mini kitchen with microwave and small fridge no freezer though. Room also offers Lather bath products. I had never heard of the product line but ended up loving how my hair felt and smelled all day so much that I looked up to see if you could purchase online and you can! I'm excited to have the hotels products at home. Also about the secret ---a we met a lady at the boardwalk while sitting on bench watching the sunset, she told us she has traveled here often and loves to visit she said this was an awesome place we agreed with her then she told us to keep it (Cambria) a secret, it quite literally is a gem. I'm glad my husband said he wanted to stay at this hotel it really made our stay feel special for our our 8th Anniversary. We can't wait to stay at FogCatcher soon we even started looking at future dates before even checking out. Book this place don't cheap out.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. The bed was great. The property was very quiet - that may have been due to the fact that we did get lucky and have the very back corner unit. We had 2 issues - the fireplace barely worked and one morning it took about 15 minutes of running the shower to finally get hot water. Not deal breakers (since the hot water did eventually work) but just something to note. The front desk service was sub par - not rude or anything, just very blah and uninterested in helping. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much though. The beach is right across the street, there are some restaurant and shopping options right there on the main beachfront strip, but we mostly went to Main Street (about a mile walk or a really quick drive). Definitely recommend Indigo Moon as a dinner spot.
