Heavy smoke smell even on non smoking side. Food and show were great, but I had to wait 30 minutes plus for an attendant to show up when my poker machine locked up.

Great experience at Mr. Laughlins resort!! Don Laughlin is a legend and has left a legacy of kindness and growth for the town of Laughlin and his casino.

My room has a sliding glass door that would not close all the way or lock & I called front desk to ask if they could send someone to fix it but they never did. 1 queen bed had cigarette burn hole in bed sheet & should not be put back on bed and it was the top sheet that you can see the second you enter the room. The hotel casino floor is old & needs updating inside it. The food was not very good except in the prime rib room. They need a place to get a full breakfast that is in the North tower., They charge $5 for bottled water in your room which it should be free. My safe would not open day of departure causing me delay in leaving when I needed to leave. .

Construction in progress
The main entrance was under construction, so you had to go to a side entrance. The valet met us and explained the situation, took care of getting our luggage to our room, and gave us great instructions to the registration desk. So it was a little inconvenient, but the valet staff was very helpful.

Good Choice for the Area but Improvement Needed
I really wanted to love this place because they are trying aand they get a lot right. First the good: The pool area is awesome, the newer south tower section is as good as you will find in vegas, the views are amazing. the free boat ride across the river is great. The amnites are aboundant (arcade, movie theater, bowling alley, night clubs, etc.), the restaurants are okay at best. Needs improvement: The north tower section really needs an update, it has a 80's cruise ship feel. The rooms also could use a slight update, the furnishings are ok but the blankets could use an upgrade. The directional signage could use a major upgrate. The casino is a bit of a maze and better sinage would greatly help. The bad: I had a major issue at check in, what should have been a $150 hold turned into three sparate transactions totaling a hold of $250 and a completed transaction of $125. My attempts to resolve the issue duing my stay was fuitless and staff were dismissive. I was notified that i needed to contact accounting on Mon. since the issue was discovered Fri. afternoon. To their credit, they made an attempt to correct on Saturday evening (without telling me) but I was still overcharged by $125. I will call on Mon. The area: The river and riverwalk are awesome. The area does need some investment and the other casinos appear to be faring slightly worse. But good for a weekend. Overall: We did have a good stay, and would probably stay again but the place does need sme improvement.
