Welcome to the Sunset House. We are located at 511 Washington lane.

Just steps from the famous boardwalk of Ocean City Maryland. We offer vacation rentals during the season between May 1st and October 30th, minimum stay is 3 days.

The maximum number of people this place accommodates is 8.

We opened for rental in 2020 and after we did a thorough renovation that includes new beds, new wooden floors, new carpet, everything painted, brand new TV, renovated stairs and new terrace chairs and table.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned vacation home, featuring a kitchen with a refrigerator and an oven. There's a private balcony. Location was good; spacious and good amenities but some broken items and couch was dirty. Biggest issue was that we did not receive check in information until day after we arrived so had to make a bunch of confusing phone calls. Turns out place was part of a hotel and somehow missed that.

Very clean!
I was very impressed with how clean the house was when we first arrived. It was better than expected. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough silverware or pots and pans for our family of 6, so it would have been nice to have known to bring more. There were only 2 forks and a very small pan to cook on every night. Sheets and towels were provided (even though it said online we had to provide) so it would have been nice to know we didn't need to pack all of our laundries but other than that we had a great time and the house was located very close to the beach. The staff was super nice and instantly came over to check out our washer when we couldn't get it to work (it only washed with hot water) but they came over quickly and we solved the problem.. they were very nice and kind, even at check in . We will definitely stay here again.

Little gem
As described, this little house was a perfect vacation situation. Close to beach and boardwalk, everything we needed to enjoy Our time AND a washer and dryer which was fabulous. Only suggestion—-a toaster would have been great!!! Excellent service, friendly!!! We will b back

It was a great stay, the place was exactly as described, clean and comfortable with a great location. A few items for improvement: ** Check in process is weird. They sent an email to go to the Americana Hotel 10 blocks away only to be sent back to the hotel literally next door. Not earth shattering but just wasted some time driving around. ** Had to go back to check-in desk to get toilet paper and TV remote as there was none. Also, would be nice if there were a sponge or brush in the kitchen so you can clean dishes as you’re required to do. ** Biggest issue is parking as in there is none. I don’t understand how they advertise a place that can “ Sleep up to 8” but there is only parking spot. There were only 4 of us yet we had more than one care. They provide parking passes to a hotel garage but that is 18 blocks away. Again, confusing. The place is connected to the Americana Hotel on 5th st but you have to park at a different hotel 18 blocks away (or take your chance on street parking). Why not just offer spots at the hotel AT the place? Again…it didn’t ruin the weekend, but ended up having to spend time shuttling people back and forth between the other parking spots, unloading cars, etc. Overall the place was good, worth the price and would stay again but the parking situation is a real stinger.

Exactly as Advertised
With an apartment close to the beach that sleeps 8 and 1 bathroom, this was exactly as you would expect. It was a place for a bunch of college students to have a place to sleep while working at the beach. After the boys left the owner sent a ridiculous claim for damages, which irked us a bit, but we will see how that pans out and I will update here if able.

The house was absolutely disgusting!
As soon as you entered the house you were met with this old dusty smell. There were dead bugs in the shower, a dead mosquito smashed on the wall in the master bedroom. The drawers in the kitchen had grease and old food stains on them. Absolutely not what you’d imagine paying someone to stay in.
