We really enjoyed our time at Hotel X. The facilities are very clean and the staff were super helpful. For a self-proclaimed five star hotel though, I was surprised by the limited amenities - such as no spa, no umbrellas by the pool, and the fact that the rooftop bar & restaurant isn’t open every day. The rooms are also a bit small, but they have everything you need.

Loved my balcony room for a night in the city. Dinner at Iris Rooftop was amazing and breakfast at Bisou Bisou was also great. No espresso machines in the room but downstairs bistro does a great coffee anyways!

Not bad but not breathtaking.
Nice property with funky pool and roof top bar. Unfortunately the roof was booked out and guests were removed at 5:30 for private parties. Not sure if it is value for money but it is nice.

Lots of poo everywhere
The public facilities such as pool and toilets were beyond filthy. There was no toilet paper in the toilets for the roof bar for 7 hours. We were holding an IHG function for VIP clients and there was faeces all over the womens toilet. It was vomit worthy.

Stay was ok, great that we could check-in slightly early. However we ordered room service on Sunday morning and the tablet wasn't working. We then rang and an hour later our food had not turned up. We rang again and it seemed the order was forgotten. We also ordered sides that didn't turn up. It wasn't a great experience to check out too.

Most notable lay the bathroom doors are weird! It’s similar to closet doors (French doors) but translucent glass. You can see someone sitting on the toilet or if they’re undressing. Not a good room to share, no privacy. Staff are nice, some team members were very friendly. Rooftop restaurant service was just okay.

3rd and final stay here
This was our 3rd "sneaky weekend without the kids" at Hotel X and probably our last. The property has dropped it's standards significantly since our last stay, particularly the upkeep of the rooftop pool. The music wasn't working, the towels were hidden behind a large piece of kitchen equipment that has been dumped out there, they've removed the umbrella's and replaced the luxurious sunchairs with cheap ones. Beyond that staff are shabbily dressed, and one guy servicing the pool area even had earpods in listening to his music. A long way from the service and conditions we've experience in the past. As for customer experience, we noted that this was our belated 20th anniversary on our booking, for which we received a lovely hand written note and 2 Lindt chocolate balls. Not the whole box, just 2 individually wrapped balls. Why even bother.
