Friendly staff. An easy 10 minute walk from Yufuin station station.
I had a private half open bath in my room that was nice. My room was quite large.
The public bath was very basic and the water not scolding hot like some.
No dinner served, but breakfast was quite substantial.
Having breakfast served I your room was very nice. It would have been even nicer if you could have designated the time you wanted breakfast served (maybe between 8 and 10). Having breakfast served at 8am was a little early if you had a late evening the night before.
The hair blow dryer does not have strong enough air speed, so it takes forever to blow my hair dry. This is probably the only thing that needs to be improve.
The open air private onsen is very good. The environment is quiet and private. The property is on the riverside and easy to find.
The ryokan is a bit too old and it should be renovated. However I love the in room onsen so much. My room has a semi-outdoor shower and onsen. Weather is around 10 degrees but it is so comfortable with a hot shower and relax in the onsen. Water temperature is just right. Amazing experience. Service is great. The Taiwanese boy serve us who is very polite and helpful. I love this ryokan but renovation is a must.
very good service! although the premises is a bit old...but still very clean. Good value for money given the ryokan in Yufuin are generally quite pricy!
It’s a small well-maintained hot spring hotel. We have our own onsen tub which is great. But our shower room is in the same semi outdoor area so it’s cold to take a bath in winter. If it has an indoor shower, everything will be perfect.
