NEVER GO HERE. started off with management being rude on the phone just trying to get answers on where to go to check in. we proceeded to find the office after walking around the grounds, waited around 5 minutes for someone to finally approach the front desk and the manager guy was rude as f***. he gave nonstop attitude and was extremely disrespectful. we decided to ignore it as good people and get our hotel key and headed to the room. when we got to the room it was freezing. we turned on the heater and waited 30 minutes and the room wasn’t getting any warmer. after that we checked out the whole room and found dead bugs in the fridge, ripped blankets, and a disgusting bathroom. we headed back to the office to complain about the problem and tried to ask for a refund but again the manager was extremely rude. he stormed off to the room and demanded we follow him. he said the heat works we just have to keep waiting and he swiped the bugs out the fridge and on the floor and claimed he cleaned the room. after that we wanted nothing to with this place and decided to leave. WORST HOTEL/MANAGMENT EVER

The room smelled of mold and was not clean. The smell stayed on all of our items, we had no choice but to wash everything that was brought into the room.

I know there have been a lot of bad reviews. It is a dated hotel, but our room was clean, warm, and check in was easy (our first rooms keys didnt work and he gave us another room. We did not stay for breakfast. We went to Katies cafe instead. I have a lot of allergies and had no issues. We will book again for a 1 night stay. We just look for a place to stay after skiing.

It was convenient and a short walk to downtown. I would request a room that was not at the main road next time as there are many transport trucks that drive by all night long.

Terrible. Deserves zero stars. No heat smelled and staff was rude and unprofessional. It was a scam. And Expedia did nothing to help. DONT BOOK HERE

I’ve stayed here a few different times. This time was in rm 406. It just seemed to be somewhat dirty I wouldn’t walk on the carpet barefooted. The bathroom sink sprayed water in every direction. The shower head needs replaced couldn’t get water to actually spray. It just dumped water on you. I believe it must have changed ownership lately and it seems to be going down hill It was such a great place to stay. Probably will never stay there again. But you can’t beat the location to downtown. If you don’t care about anything else but sleeping. Which reminds me bring your own pillows. Those were terrible also.

Multiple buildings but Main house/lodging appeared remodeled and rooms were updated nicely. Not sure how the Brown lodge building was, but most likely the reason for others bad ratings. Staff had limited English and breakfast was only cereals and bagels/muffins (unless they packed away foods before the stated 10am)

We’ve stayed here many times as we love the walkable location. Have always overlooked the fact that it is very basic, but now it’s time to update! Had trouble turning the shower on & the handle came right off! The TV was horrible, nothing in the room matches (rug, comforters, walls), there was food in our garbage when we got there .. all fixable things that would make it more pleasant if addressed
