Staff amongst the worse in Japan. No smiles ( you can tell if someone smiles behind a mask) zero urgency. Zero friendliness. Room so small that you cannot fit a single luggage. Shower curtains had spotted mold all over. Cleaniness zero. Most ridiculous when check out at the lobby my family and kids want to gather ourselves before departing we were approach by front desk staff to leave premises immediately because we had already check-out. Zero hospitality you don’t feel welcome. Guest are just transactional. Would not return.
We had a great stay here during our Osaka trip. It's walking distance from train stations, restaurants, shopping areas and Dotonbori. As most hotels in Japan, rooms are small so it could be an issue for taller people. The beds are quite firm and not that comfortable. However, the hotel itself is clean and well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. :)
(1) both our two rooms smell of bad body odour (2) under the bed, the carpet is very dusty. this is my worst experience ever staying in any hotel.. my fliight was 4pm, i checked out at 7am, can't wait to exit !
The room was clean and the staff was incredibly helpful when needed. The manga library is extensive and extremely cool overall.
Absolute highlight for this property has to be the breakfast. What an incredible value for what you get. Highly recommend!
PROS: Location, Spacious for a standard japanese hotel (the one i booked), very clean
CONS: Vents smell like curry and restroom smells like piss and sewer (5 of 6 days). beds are hard which made it difficult to sleep
overall: 4/5
The location is great, lots to do and see around the area and there are a few train stations within walking distance. The service was great and they will hold luggage after you check out as well if needed. The beds were a bit uncomfortable but other than that it was nice.
