The hotel was beautiful with great facilities. The hotel room was a good size and had ample storage space. The luggage delivery service at the hotel was convenient too, although it appears the prices fluctuate depending on whom one speaks to and the staff take a cut so it appears a little circumspect. Housekeeping were helpful and accommodating. However, the reception staff and general staff around the hotel were not warm, which is in stark contrast to Tokyo and Kyoto. After spending 2 weeks in Japan, one is accustomed to the politeness and friendliness in the hospitality sector. The staff at this hotel lack the culture experienced elsewhere in Japan, which can be off putting and an unpleasant experience.

Staff was great. Check in and check out processes were quick and easy. Delicious teppanyaki option downstairs. Rooms were clean and comfortable while also not too expensive. The only negative is that the hotel is near a major road and it can get a bit loud if your room is on that side of the building.

A definite treat staying here in Osaka Super luxurious and relaxing staying here and an added bonus to to your own laundry if needed. Definitely felt relaxed and buffet breakfast was superb!

I picked the Royal Park Iconic hotel in Osaka given the great experience I had last year in their Kyoto franchise. I was not disappointed, super helpful and friendly staff, good breakfast buffet, nice bar. If you have to stay in Osaka, it is a great option. If you can stay in Kyoto instead (there is more to do in Kyoto), I would still pick the Kyoto location for it's bigger rooms (room size is fine in Osaka) and wider bar selection.
