Overall, the hotel was a good place to stay for our long weekend in Oslo. Conveniently located near to a major tram/bus stop that gave us access with minimal changes to the majority of the city.
The hotel staff were excellent and all very friendly and the buffet breakfast was exceptionally well-stocked at the weekend but less so on weekdays. The quality was good overall, but I did get the feeling that some of the produce had been put out repeatedly for a few days by the end of our stay.
In the room, things were less impressive. Upon our arrival, I was informed that we'd been upgraded from the '1 Queen size bed' room that I'd booked. What we received was a twin bed room with the beds pushed together. There were twin duvets and due to slippery floors, the beds would inconveniently slip apart during the night.
There was not enough storage in the room.
There was no tea/coffee in the room which was a shock to someone who relies on an early morning coffee to get the day going. However, it's not listed in the hotel website that it's included so worth double checking. The only tea/coffee available outside of breakfast is from a machine (paid for) in the lobby.
Other small points, the towels were tiny and thin - I'm a big chap and struggled to be honest. The escape routes map was missing from the back of the door. The shower screen was poorly fitted so that water collected on the floor and there was no plug for the sink.
In summary, I won't be returning to this hotel.
