I recently stayed at Hôtel Littéraire Marcel Aymé, BW Premier Collection in Paris, and while the staff was truly outstanding, my experience was unfortunately marred by a significant issue. There was a strange noise coming from the walls. I'm assuming it had to do with the water system and it made getting a restful night’s sleep nearly impossible. I mentioned this to the concierge, but all I received was a 30 minute late checkout as compensation. I spent two nights tossing and turning due to the noise, which was quite frustrating. Additionally, I found the rooms to be quite small and the shower was really cramped. The beds creaked a lot, which didn’t help either! On the positive side, the hotel does excel in cleanliness and location, and the staff is genuinely helpful and friendly. While I believe those aspects deserve praise, the overall experience felt more in line with a 2 or 3-star rating because of the noise and room size. If they could address these issues, it would certainly enhance the stay for future guests!

Loved this boutique hotel and loved the area. So close to the metro and train station, and all the shops close by are fantastic. No, there's no fridge in the room, but oh well!

The bed was extremely comfortable and the staff were lovely. Even by Paris standards, the room (#14) was tiny and storage was not well designed so I ended up keeping my suitcase on the bed (solo traveler). The windows are very effective at keeping out noise, but fresh air means opening the windows and it's rather noisy street side. Towels do not dry well, so if you are eco-concious and are bothered by slightly damp towels, you'll need to have them changed each day.

Not as advertised. We specifically changed our hotel plans to stay here and cancel another booking since this hotel says it offers air conditioning. Our room had a thermostat but would not allow us to turn the air on. We told the front desk and they told us it was broken for 2 days of our stay and that they were working to fix it. On day 3 of the stay they told us that they turned off air for the whole building since it is cold outside. It was average 75° in October when we were there and after a long day of walking and riding the metro, it was not great to arrive to a warm and stuffy room with no air. We had to walk into the hallways to feel cooler air than our room had. The hotel also promotes laundry service on their site. I called to ask about it, because our clothes were sweaty from being hot all day :), and we were told they don’t have laundry service and we could go down the street to do our laundry. These things may be fine for other travelers but this was not advertised correctly.

Paris Olympics trip!!
The room was small but clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The downside was it is located on top of a very steep hill. Going down in the morning isn't bad, but returning in the evening is horrible to climb that hill. I wouldn't stay here again.
