On the whole, this hotel was great for the price. The rooms were clean and larger than we expected. We were able to check our bags the next day without problems. There were two problems: 1) the WiFi signal in my room was too weak to connect to. I had to stand out in the hall to access the internet. I think this was partially because I was on the fifth floor. My friend who I was traveling with was on the second floor and was able to use the internet from his room, and the signal seemed to get stronger as I went downstairs. 2) If you're entering after hours, you have to talk over an intercom system to get in, which I found to be an incredibly stressful experience. The first time we used it (to check in), I could barely hear what the person on the other end was saying over the ambient noise. Later, when we were just trying to get back in, it was really unclear what we were supposed to say to get in. I was expecting the guy on the other end to ask me for whatever information he needed, but he was apparently waiting for me to say something, and I didn't know what. I ended up just saying what my name was, and that seemed to work, but I'm still not sure if it was right or if he just gave up in frustration.
Check out went really smoothly, though. They were even nice enough to let me pay the tax by credit card, because I hadn't gotten any euros yet (FYI: you're supposed to pay in cash).
