The location of the property is along a street with several sex shops one being right next door which offers lap dances. If I knew this prior I would have never booked in this area. The streets were constantly busy at night and you could hear the noise from the streets in the room. The hotel had an awful smell. The reception looked extremely unprofessional. The rooms looked outdated and had marks in the walls and filling cement in certain areas. The ac in the rooms were terrible. The bathrooms tiles looked like they had something growing from theme the toilet seat was stained. The duvet itself had stain on it. The pillows were extremely uncomfortable. Also the room didn’t have an iron in. I asked the receptionist for an iron and she gave me an ironing board and iron which both had burnt marks on them. I will never be staying in this hotel or area ever again. It ruined my whole experience in Paris.

It had some nice features, comfortable bed, nice decor. But the Air Conditioner was bad and even was poorly attached to the wall. The fixture was hanging in by the wires. The bathroom sink also had a pipe leak so water went all over the floor when I used the sink. I alerted the manager who said that maintenance would fix it later. They did nothing when I was there to resolve it so I hope it’s better for the next guest.

Awesome room with a great bathroom, and the area is close to few attractions and restaurants. As many other reviews have pointed out - there a bunch of sex shops around. This did not bother us at all, but just something to know if you think this will affect you.

Stayed 10 nights with my family. The hotel is in the Pigalle red light district. I was worried about the neighborhood because we were traveling with our 9 yo daughter, but the area was not a problem. There were the sex shops (had talk with her about it), but we generally felt safe walking in that area. It's ideally located for getting on the metro or exploring Montmartre. Monoprix across the street as well as many restaurants nearby. We had the triple room which was a good size with plenty of space for us. The toilet room is small and narrow and separated from the washroom/bath room. The beds were very comfortable. TV is available with French cable. A/C worked well and quiet. We had a mini bar refrigerator and electric kettle. The noise level was low as we were facing a side street. Unfortunately we didn't have an Eiffel Tower view from our room. Service was very good. Entrance to the hotel requires ringing in, but we had no problems with waiting to get in. Convenient to have an elevator. Overall an excellent property that suited our needs well.

The staff was very courteous and helpful. I stayed at this location with my kids and felt very safe. The location is close to lots of dining options and the breakfast is great. I would definitely recommend.

Le Chat Noir is convenient if you’re looking for somewhere close to major train lines & the Moulin Rouge. Unfortunately, aside from that, it really wasn’t the best experience for us, and I’m not sure how it is a four star hotel. Upon arrival, we were told months prior (February ‘24 for a June ‘24 visit) that we’d have a room with a balcony and Eiffel Tower view for our honeymoon. This request wasn’t fulfilled but they said we were “upgraded.” Not sure what the upgrade even was? No messages I sent were replied to regarding this, and pretty sure we were still charged for that room. Cleanliness was also a bit of an issue. Our shower definitely was not as clean as it should’ve been (again, for a four star hotel), and our vent in the bathroom was filthy. Overall, it gets 3/5 stars from me and when we return to Paris we will stay elsewhere.
