Nice hotel, area as expected but very convenient.
Lovely hotel right next to gare du l’Est. As expected it is very ropey outside the station and up to the hotel on the gare du nord side, however although there were lots of men out, they actually didn’t bother us at all, and most didn’t stare. Definitely visit canal st Martin for evening drinks and dinner. Staff are lovely.

Staff (Sabina) were super friendly and helpful. Hotel is wonderful, breakfast amazing. Convenient location if you are taking train from Gare de L’est. But probably because of the Olympics, a lot of homeless around the area, approaching us. Honestly very scary at night.

Overall everything downstairs was fine. Staff were excellent,hotel was clean, food was decent if limited. However, the rooms are not satisfactory. They are too small. The toilet room and shower room were tiny. There was very little clothes space. My wife and I lived out of a suitcase and we were only there for 4 days!

Our experience with OKKO Hotel was remarkable in Lyon, so we were excited to try another location while we visited Paris. Unfortunately, we did not feel the same level of service as we had hoped. The noticeable difference at the start was the 24 hour snack bar was never fully stocked and it seemed like the staff were trained to police the food as if guests were receiving rations. Our room was decent, but cleaning resulted in just making up the bed. Minor issues but the details make a difference. The area around the hotel is not bad, but have to take into consideration that the train stations are nearby and bars are across the street. Not much to see out the window since the hotel is down in a hole surrounded by walls. Again, our expectations were tainted by our prior visit to OKKO Lyon. Food was in abundance and the staff made us feel welcomed as friends not just an inconvenience.
