I normally don’t like to give negative reviews, but I was so disappointed in my experience in this motel. The reviews were good, so I figured it would be a nice boutique inn experience. Upon arrival it was decently cleaned although there was sand and hair in the tub and dust on the air conditioner vent. However, upon closer inspection I realized the bed my daughter was in actually had old blood on it. When I brought it to the cleaning staff’s attention, they said they would have someone clean the room and change the sheets. Upon my return that day, the bed was made with the same bloody sheets. When I called the front desk, the rep argued with me that the sheets were new. Then she finally brought new sheets, and asked me if I need help putting them on. I looked at her and said sure, and she went ahead and changed them herself. When I called the front desk at check out and shared my frustration with this experience, the rep just kept saying she had not received a note that anything was wrong, but then finally apologized. I was most frustrated by the lack of accountability amongst the staff. Apologizing and correcting immediately are the basics of customer service, and their staff did not exhibit either one. I will stick to the chain hotels from now on.
