stayed extra day to visit more with great granddat
the hotel room we had was nie enough.the problem was trying to get the door open,it stuck really bad,to the point my wife could not pull it open even when properly unlocked for access.the other problem could have been the parking.there wereonly two handicap spots available for the whole front section (3floors )we were in.fortunately we were able to park in an unauthorized lot because it (the first night) was the weekend.we just had to get back to the hotel early in the pm after that to ensure we got one of the 2 handicap spaces.I suspect this parking problem exists throughout this area as space is at a premium everywhere.the hotel room itself,other than being configured weirdly was fine.the weird thing was the bathroom sink beihg right by the entrance then after traversing the hallway into the room,you see the bathroom on the right.If you use the bathroom toilet then you have to come out into the bedroom,down the hall to wash your hands..

I always love staying at the Landmark! No fancy frills, clean rooms, good comfortable beds. There are food options nearby and the Mexican restaurant on the 4th floor is very good!

The room was great but there was a lot of road noise and we had to park in the back parking area and haul luggage quite a ways to get to an elevator. Just not the most convenient and no amenities to speak of.

Outside the chains
First time coming to Pikeville and wanted to stay away from one of the chain hotels. I’m glad I did. Staff was wonderful, room was clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay there again.
