The cleaning service knocked on our door repeatedly, starting at 8:30a, waking us up. Check out was not scheduled until 11a. I would have otherwise given a higher review but did not appreciate being disturbed before checkout.
Staff was friendly. Lobby area was nice. Buffet breakfast was expensive and low quality. Beds were uncomfortable and sheets were rough. Peeling wallpaper in bathroom and stains in bath tub.
Very nice mid-level priced hotel conveniently located in the geographic center of long island. My wife and i were down for a family funeral and were very pleased with our room and the overall amenities. Check in process was easy and the room was spacious and clean. We would stay here again.

Dogs...lots of them
Be aware that this hotel houses dogs. (and just like some of the other reviews mentioning a rude receptionist, a rude one snarkily told us we would have to wait to "see if another room becomes available". Well after enduring a 5-minute speech about how booked this hotel is and how difficult it will be to move us we patiently waited through the verbage and eventually got a room on the third floor. On the way up to our room we met with the manager who mentioned that of course if they're booked we may find a dog on the third floor. Well we did get a very quiet room away from any noise and fortunately got a good night's sleep. The heater was broken but fortunately not too cold in the room. So just to let you know read some of the other reviews yes there are people who leave dogs in the room barking and unsupervised. The good thing is we will choose more wisely a hotel with no pets policy.
