Our stay was wonderful. There was a couple days room was missed for cleaning but when it was completed it was Pristine. Power did go out again on this second visit but quickly returned. Shows could be better. The Rock lobster dinner entertainment was awesome! One of best parts. Drinks great staff fabulous. Preferred dinning had best food. I recommend the hamburger! I know sounds strange but it was the best ever. Coati was in balcony in morning so hard to have coffee as he took up the area to stay warm. Exceptional. I would say prices are a little too high at $800 per night but think 500-600 worth every penny!

This is an adults only property. Very quiet and super clean. The catering from staff was beyond my expectations. The food was fantastic. My only thing, is that they need more variety of entertainment.

Nice beach clear water excellent service waiters everywhere very nice rooms we stayed at regular room second building from the beach. We had two Jacuzzis in the room. One on the balcony one is in the bathroom, which we did not use excellent food and very good tequila. If you like tequila, when you ask waiter for it, you always have to tell him which one you want. I usually get Don Julio reposado if you’re not gonna say anything, they just gonna bring you a cheaper brand. In general, we like our state, we stay for nine days

Best All-inclusive near Playa Del Carmen. I have been to many All-inclusives throughout Mexico and this has been by far the best. Did the preferred and it was outstanding. Will definitely go back. The beach was stunning compared with other beaches at other resorts.

The beach was truly fabulous as promised! Plenty of cabanas for shade and all the restaurants were great except the last night we went to La Terraza and were disappointed in food and service not quite up to par with the other ones.

We have been to 4 Secrets/Dreams properties in the Cancun area and this one has the best beach by far. Maroma has more a "good times" atmosphere, but not over the top/party atmosphere like a Breathless, Riu or the hotel zone. And, the waiters, host, grounds crew, entertainment crew, and maid service are the friendliest we have in many years. We felt special. My negatives verse Akumal are the quiet pool and the party pool at Akumal are separate by green gardens cutting down the noise of activities pool vs. Maroma does not have any separation. Akumal has a few more zen areas and is spread out more. And, the Akkumal disco above the property, so you can see the whole property. I'm going to put Maroma over Akumal. Akumal sets a high bar, but the staff and beach at Maroma would get my vote for the best resort in the Cancun Area.

Secrets Maroma Beach was the perfect honeymoon spot! The service was 10/10 from start to finish. Plenty of food and dining options and the food was delicious (if you like seafood, the grilled fish and ceviche are to die for). The property was super clean - they turn your room 3 times a day. We did the beach and pool cabanas and they are so worth it. Would definitely recommend!!
