Birthday fun get away!!!
I had a great experience at the Hyatt in Portland this past weekend. Check in: easy/room was ready early. Reasonable price, clean, comfortable and within walking distance of our restaurant. Very nice staff!! My other friend's parking was comped because her room took a little longer to be ready-so nice!!! WILL go back!

Staff super nice and helpful. Only real issue was their “blankets” are essentially thin summer bedspreads. It’s Maine. In January. Other than that place was recently updated and in a great location.

The bed was awful!! The pillows literally would go flat and the bed was hard! The toilet didn’t flush and the hot water took 15 minutes to get hot!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Hyatt! Being dog friendly was a major plus! We brought our female black lab and she settled in amazingly and the staff was so nice to her! This hotel was also extremely conveniently located to all major attractions to downtown portland (Novare Reis, Independent Ice Co, restaurants, and the pier), we plan on returning in the fall next year!

Getaway before the holidays
The hotel was under construction and so it was a bit disheveled. We have stayed before and so we had an expectation ... hopefully after the reno it will be more put together.
