The cleanness was not bad but they didn't fully return the $100 deposit without exact explanation in advance. They returned only $53.60!!
They told me that it was because of 2 more kids(everybody above 1 years old). My kids are only 6 and 8.
I've stayed so many hotels and motels but
I've never seen the place to charge on little kids.
If they explained to me in advance, I was angry. The deposit just expalined not to damage the facility and not to smoke.
The reason I stayed here was to save some money but consequently it was waste of money.(finally it was more expensive)
Also, it is quite cold in winter and the heater is too noisy! Shower booth was so narrow.
I think just for one person to stay is okay but for family is not good.
It was clean, and they were nice and efficient. Wonderfully experience and I plan on going back again. I also received my deposit back extremely quick compared to other places IV been.
The rooms and property are clean and maintained. The staff will replenish room supplies if you let them know. It is a great value for someone who needs to be in that part of Portland but who wants to save money. The staff are super efficient though you won't see them often which is all right by me.
Overall it wasn't bad the staff was great, but the heat inside my room was a little lacking. Honestly, I would stay again I would just bring extra blankets...

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Young lady at check in was very friendly and helpful. The property is located on a busy street, lots of noise from the traffic throughout the night; what made our stay worse was that just passed midnight, the toilet started a piercing noise, would not stop. Appeared to be a leaking toilet to have caused the screaming noise. I tried flushing and it did not work. Did not want to call for service in the middle of early morning hours. Both of us could not sleep due to the nonstop loud noise going on for hours. Just terrible!
Really unexpectedly beautiful place and i loved it
This is a great place to stay in Portland for not a lot of money and I was quite surprised to see how nice of a job that was done with the upgrade and remodel they had done with this property.
For a budget motel, the Nordic Inn wins 5 stars from me. We initially booked two nights, left for a night, booked another night, again left for another night, and booked once more for our final night in in Portland. It felt like an upper tier place with the quality and condition of the furnishings. The staff was unfailingly polite. I would definitely stay again if my travels bring me to Portland.
Very nice old motor court. Owners understand you need to spend money to make money and the remodel is excellent. The drawbacks are minor but worth noting: not in the best area, not a place to be out walking by yourself, limited parking, no space of oversized vehicles or trailers, large refrigerator in the room but no freezer section, no way to freeze your ice packs. Most problematic though were the towels. Like wiping and drying with sandpaper. I don’t understand spending so much on renovating then buying the cheapest towels you can find? Still the best value of the 7 hotels I stayed at this road trip.
