Great Staff and Service, not great wifi
The staff here were very sweet and helpful and the room was wonderful for what it was. My only complaint was that the wifi in my room was not great at all, I had to stand in the entrance doorway to get any sort of signal, which sounds ok, but eventually gets very uncomfortable. Everything was perfect otherwise.

The place to stay
My first time staying at Posada de Roger was around 1983. It's a quaint little authentic Mexican hotel right in the middle of Zona Romantica. Nothing fancy but you aren't coming to hang out at your hotel are you? beds are comfy, pretty quiet depending on where you room is. This was my 5th time staying there.

Loved this place! Definitely not for those looking for extravagant luxury. A nice little quiet hotel, with a beautiful courtyard and a nice pool. Convenient to the Malecon and most points of interest.

They provided fresh water. All the time. Location was central.next to restaurants, bars, cafe’s. We were in the VIP room. Got a very small wine bottle. Our room was up on the 4th floor. 53 stairs. Room cleanliness felt icky! Sewage smell in the shower. After toilet flush, it drains underneath the shower pipe. No kitchen towels. Had to ask for dish soap was almost empty. Not enough small towels. Had to ask for it. No concierge. Lobby personnel tell you about tours. Trying to make profit.got two different prices from them. No set price. End up buying tour from a beach tour agency. Much cheaper. Too pricy hotel stay for an old outdated hotel. We will never come back here.

We enjoyed a wonderful two week stay at the Posada de Roger, a Mexican family-owned smaller hotel in the Romantic Zone. We love the attentive friendly staff, the comfortable beds, excellent service , beautiful flowering plants and their small quiet pool. The location works well for us as it is close to the beach, pier, market, the Malecon, buses and has a great assortment of nearby restaurants, shops, and craft stalls. This is our second time staying. We will be back!

Staff was very friendly! Thanks again Marta! My kid loved the pool, and it was always nice and cold and clean. It was awesome staying so close to the beach where we could pack in up, walk like three blocks and we were there!! I speak very little Spanish and felt at home.
