This hotel was pretty good, I would say excellent, until we had one staff knock on our door (possibly owner, hi did not introduce himself and it was not an official, rather more like criticism from the teacher with a bad student who doesn’t behave well at school). He said that we made way too much noise that people underneath had complained about it.
1. We did not make any noise.
2. It was my birthday trip and I chose this place to stay at, as it looked nice, with good reviews, and instead of wishing me happy birthday I’ll remember this negative feeling about this place now with the complaint.
3. Everyone has their side of the story. My wife and I believe that the guest from room underneath were unreasonable with their expectations regarding the noise.
4. Besides unreasonable expectations of the neighbors, there is also a high possibility for poor soundproofing of the room floors, like what happens in many hotels that we travel around the world. And we travel at least once a month to different destinations in the world.
Overall this very good place with 5 stars review, became just 3 stars from me. I wanted to give them only 1 star, being angry that they made me feel stupid and unwelcome after complaint of other unreasonable people.
I work in service industry and my clients always feel welcome and my hospitality is my top priority to be able to make my clients happy. Obviously the owners of this place don’t have the same approach as I do with my clients.
