It was definitely a little sketchy from the outside. I pulled in, passing an ambulance and three patrol cars in the parking lot (that is also shared with a gas station). I checked in (very friendly staff), then went to my room. Room was nice and clean, but sheets were on the top of my comforter which was kinda weird, but I just flipped them around. Sounds of traffic (including sirens) were heard all night. Also, when I went to my car, there were people sitting on the sidewalk, taking back a few Morelos.
As a solo female traveler, I did feel safe in the room, but would not have ventured to the parking lot unless I had to.
For a one night stay, just needing to rest my head, it was fine. But not somewhere I would stay multiple days.
