Pros: Staff at front desk was super nice. Cons: The hotel rooms were not cleaned well. I was able to get a container of disinfectants and wipe around the toilet and tub. They were black when I finished cleaning. The bed was clean and comfortable and the rest of the room was ok. Just dirt and hairs around the baseboards especially in the bathroom. Shower could use new shower curtain too. The BF was not great either. Just generic egg omelets that seemed like they were prepackaged. Overall the place was right off 70 and ultimately what you would get for $80-$90/night, but because it was a holiday weekend we paid $165 … so that was a little frustrating. Wish we could have just driven the rest of the way home.

Stayed here about 4 years ago while on a road trip. It was nice, quiet, and clean. Chose to stay here again just this past weekend because of the same reasons.

We found clipped fingernails in our room. There was also hair clippings in the bathroom. The sheets had stains on them. The breakfast selections were very good.

The beds were so very comfortable, as were the pillows! They left free sandwiches, potato salad and dessert for guests that were free as well as items to purchase to use in the microwave in your room. Very much appreciated after a long day of travel. The buffet breakfast was amazing ! Would definitely stay here again!

Nice surprise
Got stuck in a blizzard and had to stay in Raton till the road reopened. This hotel was amazing. The staff were so sweet and helpful. The rooms were great. Clean and updated. Totally enjoyed our stay.

Needed renovations
The hotel recently changed owners, and displayed a sign hotel currently under renovations. My room was on the 1st floor, the bed was very comfortable and the linens were clean. The shower area had mold at the ceiling and the wall paper was starting to loosen, the bathtub had a chip in the enamel but it was smooth. Front desk checkin process was flawless and received excellent service from both clerks. I explained the issues I found and the clerk said they would address them and the tub will need a complete replacement.
