No vacancy. I had a reservation. When I tried to register, door locked. Note saying call this long distance no.. It's 90 outside temp. No call back. I see another note pasted to another window to call this other no. for registration. Manager finally showed up. Surly. I was given a room where a ladder was in front of my window and all parking spaces taken by construction crew. I asked for another room - again he was surly. No more rooms, he said. No one else complained. he said. Manager waited for a yr and half for roofing crew and they were more important I was. I will never stay there again. I have photos.
Though the roofing was being worked on it did not interrupt guests. Room was larger than expected, bathroom up to date, on site manager pleasent and met us after we drove up to register though it was late.
Very nice owners. Slowly updating the property. We had an updated double room that was very comfortable. Easy walk to town for eating and grocery.

Okay just for one night
If you need one night stay, well fine. Don't exspect much. The town is a Ghost Town. Only thing open is Rays Market where I got a darn good pastrami sandwich. There were a bunch of teenage kids running around. I smelled pot everywhere. Rooms are hard to come by in this area and for one night it was ok but also overpriced. A tent in a National Park would be better
It was a good stay, exactly what we needed while we were passing through. Nice to have parking on site and check in was easy enough. Hot water, nice bed. The only negative was that the heat wasnt working. We didnt figure this out until after 10pm, so we didnt want to bother anyone at that point. Otherwise decent room.

Decent
This motel did practice safe Covid protections! Our room was clean, but a stain on my pillowcase gave me pause. It’s probably time to retire it. The very well- laundered towels are downright scratchy. Nit a problem for me, but others may not like it. The mattress was comfortable, but be warned that you’ll have to get on your knees and use the flashlight app on your phone to operate the heating/ cooling. Also, there’s a refrigerator, but no microwave.
Our hotel room had everything you need for a comfortable, pleasant stay.

Frige was a little dirty and the hangers were dusty, but overall i would stay there again. The bed was comfortable and the price was fair. I would reccomend they replace the top bed conforters. They look very old and it is the first thing you see. It takes away from the updates that they did to the room
The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The bathroom had been recently remodeled and was in pristine condition. There was a little dust on the headboards leftover from the remodel but overall the room was in good shape and I would recommend staying here for a spot right off the 101. It’s surprisingly quiet; we couldn’t hear the freeway from our room.

Comfortable and basic accommodations
I'd stayed at this Inn once previously several years back. It remains the same-- basic accommodations at a fair price. The owners are personable and attentive. The rooms are simple, but comfortable with TV, good reading chair and lighting. Microwave is "one request" (at least during this Covid era.) One block walk to the only full service grocery in the region, and a few acceptable restaurants within a couple block walk. Not really much to see "downtown." Good base for visiting and hiking in Humboldt Redwoods State Park.
Loved the location close to town but with enough distance for comfort, quiet, and lots of greenery. Loved the fridge, the very comfortable bed, and in-room good quality coffee. Enjoyed sitting outdoors and observing local color. Very much appreciated the manager’s tips and recommendations, especially biking the Avenue of the Giants.
Quiet, manager was nice, very clean and comfortable room. Thanks for a nice stay.

My room had a comfortable bed and was nicely decorated with tasteful artwork on the walls. I also enjoyed the quiet and view from the second story building.
The registration office is being remodeled and looks pretty rough at the moment. The manager explained that someone had exited the freeway too fast, lost control of their SUV, and driven through the office!
The country setting makes getting repairs finished a slow process.
Also, the first time I stayed here, I had trouble finding the motel because if you’re heading south it looks like you are heading back onto the freeway. You can’t really see that there’s a cul de sac you need to go around to get to the motel.
I love this place. I wish the pool were still open to the public though.... All in all, the motel has a lot of character and the room I stayed in was very pleasant. I will definitely be coming back.

What a complete dump! The room next to us had OODLES of spiders in the windows. Our room had too many spiders. I do no think the bedding had been cleaned in weeks on the beds. Rooms smelled of smoke & marijuana. Gross, gross, gross!!!!!
I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. The carpet was dirty, there were holes in the blanket, the towels were frayed, there was dirt caked in the corners of the bathroom and the spread was well worn. All this for $150!
there was another couple did not ck.in like me,cause there was bed bugs you could see,and blood all over mattress..we left and had to drive 4 more hrs to another hotel..i will not recomend orbitz to anyone
