The two most important things were that the bed was excellent and we were able to find a room in Mt. Shasta that didn't previously have pets in it. I had to call five hotels just to find a pet free room. The shower was less than stellar and I didn't use it. The front desk closes at 8:00 so we never saw a live person coming or leaving.

Beautiful mountain resort
Found out about Mount Shasta Resort attending a friend's wedding the year previous. My husband and I fell in love with the chalets immediately. We booked a stay for the following year as soon as we left. Finally made it back... brought our paddle boards, mountain bikes and fishing gear this time. Rented a chalet on the water. This is definitely our new go to spot. Lake Tahoe is wayyyy too crowded now. We officially are switching to Mount Shasta Resort. Added bonus, the lake water is much warmer. Spent days on the lake, doing local hikes (McCloud Falls is a must) and biking the Lake Siskyou trail. This is the place!!

Beautiful environment , loved my cabin. Just FYI it is not easy to enter Lake Siskiyou from the cabin area (even though the view is great). It takes 10 plus minutes walking on rough trails.

The Chalets could use some renovating. The floors creak so loud it disturbs sleep of others. The entrance steps are dusty dirty. The TV selections leave much to be desired.
